I don't like to be proven right, but I have not been able to get them to train,” Pearl said.

I can't recall Fulmer placing the blame of a loss solely on the team. Pearl is totally out of line with is latest statement IMO.

Just because Kevin Oneil out coached and out prepared him in about a 5 month period(since he was hired at USC) with a lackluster team speaks volumes.

I will say that Kiffin's tactic of calling specific players out in the media has yielded much fruit (they all left the team).

I read....I have not done what was needed to prepare the team. I don't read, the team lost the game....? :dunno:

Absolutely. Fulmer was the picture of accountability and taking responsibility.

I didn't see where this statement was worthy of inspection with an electron microscope.

Compared the product I've been watching for almost four decades, he's doing a damn good job. I've been through many losing seasons, I'm not going to start a smear campaign over one bad showing.

Tyler yawning in the huddle prior to the start of the second half told me exactly where this team was mentally.

They've been playing this way for a lot longer than one game.

anyone who's ever played a sport, esp bball, understands that you have to put in the work on your conditioning and shooting on your own. practice is for learning sets. CBP has a limited amount of time the NCAA lets him spend practicing, but Tyler and co can work on their own all they want. they obviously aren't doing that. thats all CBP was saying. our guys aren't in good enough shape to press and can't hit a shot at all, prolly in part because of tired legs. i do wish he'd make chism and smith stay in the post for a game and see how that goes, though.
one bad loss doesn't mean our season is over. hopefully sec play will wake the competitive fire on our team.

It's amazing how many times I read this comment about this team, and last year's team. We Vol fans seem to be hoping a lot.

obviously you've never played bball on a team in HS or college. i worked on shooting... but i've never once ran suicides all by myself. i've played a million pick up games in the off-season of course... but thats not conditioning LOL. the conditioning program happens in preseason and then you stay conditioned during the season as a team. the coaches push you with runs, sprints, drills, etc... you get out on the track.... PRESEASON... with very little use of the basketball.

nice try though.
