Article 1, Section 7 is the section the House Democrats are going to shred when they use the "Slaughter House Rule" to pass a bill they never voted on.
All that blather about Bush supposedly shredding the Constitution. Obama and Co. aren't merely shredding it, they're shredding it then stuffing it into a hamster cage so that it gets crapped and pissed on by their little lemming-like sycophants at MSNBC and other liberal media outlets.
You're talking about the health care bill? How is that shredding/stuffing/crapping on the Constitution?

for one thing, the Federal Government has no business in health care. You can misinterpret "general welfare" all you want, Article 1, Section 8 clearly defines what the FedGov can collect taxes for and spend tax revenues on. Health care aint one of those things and is therefore a state issue.
second, you'll notice that I mentioned the "Slaughter House Rule" which is a rule change to allow the House to pass the Senate's health care bill without actually having voted on it. That's a clear violation of Article 1, Section 7.
No it hasn't. This has never been done. The actual senate bill is not going to be voted on because of a newly minted procedure that allows nany democrats to vote for the amendments but distance themselves from the actual bill. It's an absolute croc to try and save jobs because Congress knows full well that Amwricans are going to dithering tem for passing garbage legislation that few want. His ridiculous argument is that this procedure has been used hundreds of times in the past, but only now is it an issue.
Odd, huh?
I really thought gsvol and gator would be all over this.
You never know what will work and not work.
yes. and if your BS is going somewhere, go ahead and spit it out. Show me where this rule change is legal under the Constitution.

Odd that you haven't mentioned the brand spanking new procedure.
