To my fellow Volunteer family,

This is the first post I've created. I am new to this and apologize if I have any misspelled words or if this should be posted in a different subject, etc. I also apologize for a long post.

But I come to you with a heavy, heavy heart. Three years ago my father had a stroke. We rushed him to the ER, and the doctors said it wasn't good. We didnt know if he would ever talk, walk, or even live day to day. A few weeks later, he is home and has to relearn basic motor skills, speech, etc.

After a year of this, he was about 90% himself. He was not the same man, the same father that he once was but he is still here.

Later in the same year, he had another stroke. Same thing happened. We didnt know if he was going to make it because his heart was weak from the past stroke.

He made it.

Two years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors said it was caught in time and should be a routine treatment. Chemo for 6 months, seeing his energy go lower and lower, losing his hair, strength, and himself. After treatment, went back 3 months for a PET and CT scan, its back again.

This time they say, lets try a stronger chemo. It should take care of it. 12 months of Chemo, basically to the point of death. He lost over 100lbs, he wasnt himself but he kept the fight going. After all that, 200 vials of blood drawn, multiple surgeries for ports, etc the doctor is confident he will be good to go. 3 months later, cancer is back.

This year he is sent to another hospital, a specialized for his form of cancer. The doctor says, we are 90% sure with our new experimental treatment, he will be cured.
After a year-long treatment plan, he almost died 3 times throughout the year. The doctor says, it looks good and we will do a scan just to check in 3 months.

Yesterday was the 3-month checkup... Cancer is back again. My father is a strong man, but we are struggling with everything. I felt led to write this post because someone else is going through something tough in their life. I want you to know its ok and you are not alone. Its ok to be sad, angry, upset. Its ok to feel down, but my father said he is not giving up and is going to fight it to the end.

I researched some inspirational videos and noticed this one from Inky. Below is the link:

Fellow brothers and sisters, I ask that you please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. And to others going through a tough time, you are not alone.

I pray for your Father and your family. I lost my Father to cancer in 2016. Fighting three types at the same time and lymphoma finally got him. It is a hard fight and I have no regrets because I told him I loved him everyday. Keep us updated please.
