Think about it.

I am not an Obama supporter, but you look at the numbers state by state and nationally and tell me how McCain is going to get 270 electoral votes. It would take a massive game-changing event at this point.

That is true, I have not been keeping up lately. When I was, it was mostly McCain supporters posting so things must have changed. Anyway,I certainly wouldn't be one of those thinking Obama has this in the bag....far from it.

I didn't realize Obama supporters were claiming victory.

They aren't, we all realize that something COULD happen to swing this election. However, as it stands, it is extremely likely that Barack Obama will win the election by a very comfortable margin. Anyone who thinks John McCain has better than a slim chance right now is kidding themself.

it isn't helping that many of the major polling agencies are oversampling blacks and democrats. Look at Zogby's numbers as opposed to Gallup or Rasmussen.

Well, that's where it gets tricky. Black and Democratic turnout this year will most likely be very high, the pollsters have to compensate. On the other hand, most pollsters aren't accounting for people who are cell-phone only, which can cause issues as well.

For the record, of the major pollsters I think Zogby is by far the worst.

If Obama was up five in most of the national polls I would say it would be tied, but he is up double digits now in most national polls not to mention the economy is crashing. I believe in the Bradley effect but this lead is to much for McCain to overcome right now.

People are scared right now and a drowning man doesnt care what color the man throwing him a life preserver is.

I don't care about a person's color but I would care if he took my life preserver away to throw it to you.

i'm so sick of hearing about how the dang economy is the repub's fault. it's both sides, doesn't help at all that fannie and freddie is mainly the dem's fault. but i think most ppl over look that fact and blame bush like everything else, 9/11, he created Katrina. Katrina is interesting considering the govt gave them money for upgrades on the levees but instead they used it to wine and dine casino owners in order to get them

Notverycrucial, the Bradley effect has long since been discredited. The Campbell effect is now the prevailing doctrine.
