I was just going to tell you guys thanks for the great week. It was fun getting to talk football and a little smack with you throughout the week. The game was a lot of fun and hopefully will erase the Stoernover from our minds for a while. I hope whoever went to Fayetteville had fun. The only complaint I have is with Fulmer, I lost some respect for him after the onside kick.

why, because he managed the game and did what any coach would have done or the injured player on defense

Why? Houston Nutt didn't win my heart with McFadden and company still in the game when the game was virtually over.

sorry for the player who never want to see that happen it is a picture that has plagued us for a while

Enjoyed your posts as well - and like you, I lost a little respect for Nutt, a guy whose enthusiasm I've always liked, with AK throwing that bomb & arguing for interference with about 3(?) min. to go. - Perhaps that's what brought on the onside kick.

Cal tried that with like 6 seconds left against us. We at least had time for something other than a Hail Mary.

No I was upset with him before the injury. The fact that you guys scored again didn't bother me but the onside kick was not necessary. The game was out of reach and so there is no point in doing that. It is just a good way to get players hurt...Meachem was shook up on the onside kick and then our back up safety was knocked out. Kick the ball off and lose with respect and class. And throughout the 3rd quarter Nutt was rotating in backups...and in the 4th quarter there was backups in for most of the game.

Yes the bomb was unnecessary as well and I didn't agree with it, but it was also thrown to a backup WR. He is a freshmen, but still it shouldn't have been done. I didn't see the argument because I was in the student section and it was pretty crazy.

Sorry it's called competing any coach would have done the same thing, never lie down and let the other team walk on you that gets no respect. The only coach that would chunk it down field with a big score is Spurrier that guy gets no respect, and Pete Carroll and Mac Brown

well. i just wanted to say how rude and obnoxious the razorback fan were last night, i mean you come into neyland stadium we are going to respect you as the visiting team, at the game saturday you recieved no respect. but i guess that is just arkansas football for you, only two people was respectful enough to say good luck before the game and after a couple said have a safe trip home and good luck the rest of the season that is all the respect i got.

Everyone knows I am a Fulmer supporter, but I found it interesting that he made post-game remarks and even remarked on the Phillip Fulmer show about Cal kicking the on-sides kick when the game was already over, and then he did the same thing last night.

Seemed a bit hypocritical to me.

As for the Arkansas fans, I'll continue to say it, they were great to me and my buddy.

We were offered drinks as we walked through tailgates, we met and shook hands with several Arkansas fans both inside and outside the stadium. In the bathroom after the game I was even told to be careful going home, and it was sincere.

Sucks that other Tennessee fans had a bad expierence.

Amen brothers there were a few like I said that were nice but the majority of them I met acted like a bunch of inbred rednecks. I can't wait till they come to Knoxville next year I already have 20 people geared up to go with me and By Gosh we are going to raise some hell!!!

Ever heard the term, 'Ain't goin' out without a fight'?

How can you lose respect? I just think because your player got knocked out, that you feel it's best to blame someone. So who do you point to?

Of coarse. Fulmer.

Enjoyed your debates and wish you guys the best of luck from here on out this season. I also lost respect for Nutt himself but as a whole I respect this Hogs team more than I did before the game. You guys have a STUD in Mc Fadden!

I didn't really understand the onside kick after we had kicked the PAT after the touchdown. Sure, it would have been a miracle, but a 2 puts you down by 16 with less than a minute left. When we decided to kick it, I thought that meant we were conceding. Then we kicked it on-sides, which says we were still praying.

I really don't have a problem with either approach, but the two were inconsistent. Still, it is hard to argue that we used the wrong strategy down 17 points with half-a-minute to play. There just aren't very many good game-plans in that situation.

Oh, and before I forget, good luck with the rest of the season, Hogs.

Congratulations on the win. Arkansas is definitely better than I thought they were.

Just one thing: the "Fulmer sucks" chant by Arkansas fans towards the end of the game was completely classless.

I"m sorry that some of you had bad experiences at our stadium. It just goes to show you that a few idiots can ruin it for everyone. Every time we have tailgated at the stadium, our group has been cordial and invited opposing teams fans to hang out with us. It's all part of the experience.

Nothing wrong with practicing an on-side kick in a live game situation. Maybe it'll pay off down the road when we really need it.

I can't believe Nutt was throwing bombs in the 4th for the endzone, then crying to the refs - on TV he looked pretty sad. And I said at least 4 times during the late 3rd and 4th quarter that it would have been a shame for McFadden to get injured. It worked out in the end - but it was highly questionable coaching having him in there with a full stat sheet (see Adrian Petterson example).

All in all, great game by AR. They have a good team, and appear to have key pieces in place for a great team.

The bad thing about onside kicks in a blowout is 9 out 10 times someone is going to get hurt. No use to chance it if you are getting beat badly. You practice them against cupcake teams in the preseason.

It was in response to the onside kick.
