this is what happens if you play QB for Urban

Brantley to miss time
Redshirt freshman quarterback John Brantley, who dislocated his non-throwing shoulder three weeks ago, will miss the first three practices of the spring, but is on schedule to return March 24, Meyer said.
"They're going to ease him into it," Meyer said. "They've already started to get him ready to go."
John Brantley Sr. said last week UF trainers told him his son's injury is not as serious as the shoulder injury starting quarterback Tim Tebow struggled with in the middle part of last season. Brantley will compete this spring with sophomore Cameron Newton for the No. 2 quarterback role.
Meyer announced Wednesday that a handful of injured players will miss the spring, including starting offensive tackle Phil Trautwein (bone spurs on his right ankle), offensive guard Maurice Hurt (bone spurs), defensive tackle Brandon Antwine (back), defensive tackle Javier Estopinan (knee) and offensive guard Simon Codrington, who possibly will have to give up football due to a chronic wrist injury.
Outside linebacker Ryan Stamper (shoulder) will be evaluated in the second week of drills.

Getting hurt is part of the game. But, if you play with Urban you'll likely be more prone to injury. :)

We can collectively hate UF but come on don't be this stupid. If you play QB for Urban do you do well in the Heisman Trophy Voting or in your 4 year career as well...ie (Alex Smith Josh Harris and Tim Tebow)

I mean can you get an opinion instead of just blabbering!

It's football! If they go in expecting not to get injured somehow they're dumb.

Happens at every school not sure why the thread.

some of the dumbest posts I have ever read. Hmmmmm, let's see, UM's spread system requires the QB to run the option often and up the middle several times, soooooooo, doesnt it stand to reason that there is a greater chance of injury than say a tradition pro-style offense that put's the emphasis on QB protection and getting the ball out quick?

Beware!

These things may also happen to you:

Be the number one overall pick in the NFL draft.
Be undefeated.
Be the youngest person to ever win the Heisman Trophy.
Win a National Championship.

Any position in football will require getting hit. Brantley was a twig anyways.

and be a bust on par with Akili Smith and Ryan Leaf. Some guys might actually want to produce in the NFL and have a career beyond their first contract.

I haven't been on this board very long… & I hate the gators as much as the next guy…but this is the silliest thread I’ve seen to date.

$49.5 million over six years. Yeah, thanks for nothing, Urban.

And no, he is not nearly on par with Akili or Ryan. He's already started more games than either, thrown for more yards and more touchdowns.

I heard CUM was hitting his qb's in the shoulders with sledge hammers.
