This means one of two things:
1. Shaka is a better coach then you thought...
2. Grant can't judge talent....
if you say smart is winning with grant's talent, Grant left a final four team. poor judgement. smart is a great young talent, now stand up and recognize.

Agreed. And I saw a few guys who were young playing so he had to recruit them. But I've said it many times, he would be a good fit for us with the running/defensive style he uses

VCU was barely better than UT in fg% (ranked 180th). They're hot now but it hasn't been a trend

And the way they were before the tournament, nobody thought they should be in. Their consistent shooting is why they're in the Final 4.

it's not consistent it's that they got hot for a few games. They did not play this way during the season

And I still don't believe they had the resume to get in but it doesn't matter now

It says that Grant has an exceptional eye for talent

Smart can't coach. He just rolls out the balls. Kansas, Florida State, Georgetown, Purdue, Southern Cal all over-looked VCU because the press and the sheep said that they did not belong.

NC State may just hire the guy because, after all, he can't really coach. There is a slight chance that VCU might be national champs but, just remember what the press and the sheep told you: they don't belong and Shaka can't coach.
