I feel for this guy. Hopefully he realizes that all of our players aren't this stupid. Are at least I think there not...

You have to sit out a year to go to another Division I-A school, unless the school releases you, then you are free to go any where.

Well I knew once you signed it was pretty much sealed. I just didn't know if there were special situations in which a person was released from it. Guess the coach has to release him, if I understand correctly?

Is this the same situation that happened with Tyler the first time around?

he'll have to go to a prep school and do it over again next year. If he really doesn't want to play here he'll play his 1 year and get out.

I hope he doesn't somehow wiggle out of his LOI.

I sure hope not, but, I'm concerned at how his father and the rest of his family feel about what has happened. This just looks bad on the whole BB program. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he stays the course. :scare:

I would just hate to be a recruit coming into all of this crap... just like football at UF. Not worth the hassle IMO

How does anyone get that he might want out of his LOI from this: "Talking with some people right now ..."?

because most people on this site are crazy addicted to recruiting and they feel like the sky is falling if we lose a recruit. like your addicted to crack and someone yanks it away from you...well at least thats how i feel....hahah

It would take an act of god for him to get out of his LOI.

Perhaps not. If you pay attention to other situations where students have gotten out of their LOI, (such as the situation with Memphis and UK, kids getting out of their LOI's to come with Calipari) .....

There were language clauses within those letters (from what I understand, HAT if you see this please clarify if you know) that provided the student athlete a loophole to get out of their LOI provided that certain events unfolded. Such as the school firing and hiring a new coach. I don't know if something like this could be done, and I highly doubt it, but its a possibility.

Also, I don't think Harris is contemplating leaving UT. I think that comment can be taken out of context in a number of different ways.
