Tobias in the Top 10...

Solid rookie year. Wish he was still here, what a team we would have had this yr.

But a VFL? Probably couldn't find TBA with a GPS and a tour guide.

Yea, that's why he was at UT taking classes and attending games during the lockout. And constantly talks about UT on Twitter.

Good call.

Yeah.. its not like he spends a lot of free time here in knox, working on his degree and frequenting southbound with the rest of the basketball team.

Honestly it wouldn't suprise me to see him end up owning property here. Right beside Grudens place.. :).

Just post anything without having a clue...FYI he's been in Knoxville AND TBA with great frequency..And I would be willing to bet he's been in TBA MUCH more than you..Pick somebody else to flame..

IMO No Tobias = no Stokes. Tobias laid the foundation for fUTure big names. Plus Tobias was always tweeting Stokes to come to Tennessee. He is making millions and doesn't have to mention Tennessee, but he does A LOT. The kid is more VFL then you will ever be. How many times have you put the men's basketball team on your back? How many times have you woke up at 6 in the morning to put up shots with teammates to get them better? I'm done now lol...

My buddy lives at the same appartments as Harris's GF and we still see his car parked outside of her place all the time. So I'm guess he still frequents quite offen.

Why even make a comment about something you obviously have no clue on?

While Larry1949 may not know some details about Tobias, he is absolutely right in his assessment that only playing one year for Tennessee does not make you VFL. Tobias made the right decision for him, but he not a VFL.

So, only athletes are VFL? What about students who don't have the talent but graduate on time? What about people who have been UT fans since they could walk but didn't go to school there for various reasons.

Come on. Tobias both played for us and made us his one and done destination (better Scotty can say), constantly talks about us on twitter/social media, AND he is trying to finish his degree. If that's not a VFL then I don't know what is.

Tobias spent more time at UT than many posters on here that want to judge if someone is vfl or not.

Dumb. He is still working on his degree. As far as UT is concerned, he is still a student there.

So what im gathering from everyone saying he's not a VFL is that you must attend Tennessee for atleast 4 consecutive years to be a VFL?

So if Lofton would have gone pro after his junior year, not a VFL?

The guy talks up Tennessee on twitter constantly and continues to help recruit guys to Tennessee. Add in that he came back during the lockout to work with the fuys and also towards his degree.

I think he loved UT, and still does. But let's face it, the NBA is a huge deal, and to be such a high round pick can't be ignored. He came back to work on his degree during the lockout. Make no mistake, he's left for the money. But he came to UT for a reason.

Since I'll be at UT for 5 years, does that make me a Super VFL? I don't think duration at the University warrants you to be a VFL or not. Your passion, love, and support of the university and it's programs AFTER you leave, regardless of the reason, determines if you are a VFL or not. Just how I see I suppose.
