When Fulmer would sit on a lead and go real conservative. Butch did this in the 2nd half but did not have the defense or DC that Fulmer had while he was at UT

Butch also reminds me of Fulmer in another aspect and that is staff loyalty. To me, that was one of Fulmer's downfalls as a head coach. He stayed loyal to underachieving staff members for too long. If Butch continues to be loyal to members of his staff that underachieve, that too may be his undoing.

It will be interesting to see if he is willing to cut bait when the time comes

Until someone can throw a ball it doesn't matter anyways. When we get up by 10 plus with this team we have to go conservative. Worley is a mistake waiting to happen against a great team. IDK how good Mike B. is as a OC, but I will say the routes got open today and Worley missed them, a lot. Now, the Oregon game I was ready to throw my TV remote through my wall because of the 3rd and 1 screen passes. I think when it's all said and done, CBJ is going to realize that to compete in the SEC you have to have a FB set or two. You have to be able to run Strong and I-form sets to power run the ball. Clock management is also going to be key as all these 3 and outs drain an already depleted defense.

Butch's staff made no in game adjustments and USA did. That might work in the Big East but not when we get to SEC play.

Seemingly not to good. I'm not a coach myself, but shouldn't he be calling plays around his Qb's strengths? (If he can find some).

Worley is very inconsistent. He will make a couple of good passes then make a couple of terribe passes. He just isn't that good. It is not the play calling. The coaches are in a very bad situation tjis year. It is going to be a long, long October.

I hope is at least Fulmer 2.0 by nothing else but out talent people.

I know I hate winning a game!!! Especially how Worley intentionally threw short couldn't convert to keep the defense off the field and threw all those interceptions to go conservative!!

Fulmer had quite a few games where he squeaked by vastly inferior talent.

Examples:

'95, '96, '97, '00, '04 Vandy
'05 Vandy (lost)
'95, '01, '04 Kentucky
'96, Memphis (lost)
'99, '00 Memphis
'05 UAB
'06 Air Force
'08 UCLA (playing with mostly 3rd stringers...blown out by BYU 59-0 the following week)
'08 Wyoming (lost)

Wonder how Worley would be if in the same system he was while Chaney was OC. I thought he filled in decent when bray was out.. He looked confident in what he was doing then.. Not so much now.. IMO
