He, and his independent label "Funk Volume" is reviving rap music. His lyrics have meaning to them, and he's not your traditional "**** COPS, I GOT MONEY" rapper that we've all grown accustom to. I like this guy, and I truly hope he becomes successful. As of right now, all his songs are made in his basement and that is where this video was shot. Take a listen!

Good lyrics, though...

I need to hear more of his stuff before I can give it a yay/nay in the iPod.

Judging from this song alone, his lyrical skills are legit. My 22 year old self would've loved him. Hope he makes it.

That was my initial impression as well.

He definitely has some lyrical skills and room to grow into his own as well. Hopefully he doesn't turn into exactly what he just railed on.

I don't listen to a lot of hip hop but I've always liked and respected eminem.

To me he sounds like a cross of eminem and tupac Trying to inform the black community to wake up.

Definately looking to hear more of his stuff.

Best rap song I've heard in a long time without having to play something from the 90's on my iPod. 5 million views in 6 days is pretty damn impressive.
