is a prime example of why I love sports. You have two teams and fan bases that detest the very existence of the opposition. Each represents to the other everything they hate. UNLV sees BYU as a bunch of pious, condescending, religious zealots. BYU sees UNLV as a group of immoral, besotten, godless pagans. It's Joseph Smith vs. Bugsy Siegel. Marie Osmond vs. Sydnee Steele. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir vs. The Rat Pack. The Church of LDS vs. The World On LSD. Orrin Hatch vs. Oscar Goodman. To draw a wrestling analogy, it's Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair. The compelling thing about sports is the visceral, human emotion involved in the contests. The atmosphere at the Thomas & Mack Center today will be an example of why our games are so important to us. In closing, Go Pagans.

Ironically, Las Vegas has an ever-growing Mormon population, because that awesome city, for all its sin, is producing jobs. :)

Did you get a chance to check out Stripsteak? If so, what were your thoughts?

Probably at the sportsbook at the Bellagio, possibly at the Hard Rock.
The Hard Rock is a nice place to stay - less expensive than being immediately on Las Vegas Blvd, but still with very nice casinos and accomodations.

I've seen the Sportsbook at Bellagio, but haven't gone in - not really a big sports gambler. Still, should be a cool place to watch the seeds come in.

As much time as you spend in Vegas, you might want to look into getting a condo out there. The market may adjust downwards soon, so if you're interested, keep your eye on it.

There are a number of reasonably prices options being built in Las Vegas. I'm just not enamored with the idea of owning more than two properties. If I sold either the Knoxville or the South Florida condo, I would immediately buy a place in the desert.
