I love how some people are so blinded by fandom that they are just assuming Golden is guilty based off an accusation. I bet the same people bought the Duke lacrosse nonsense and UVA/Rolling Stone hoax hook, line, and sinker as well.

Of course. People are nuts!

Guve FL credit. 4 for 4 on 3’s when they had to have them and TT misses the front end of those two 1 and 1’s. Anything goes the other way there and the story is probably different. But just like against UConn, they got it done when they were up against it.

As far as Golden goes, I still don’t trust the “investigation”. You could have figured they’d figure out a way to sweep that under the rug. All I’ll say is it’s a privilege to have a coach like Rick Barnes than be represented by a shady goofball like that.

Florida’s investigation is like trusting the government to make right decisions.

There is nuance to these things. Have you read why they closed the case? There were allegations of online conduct and pictures, and based on things reported, I would guess those things existed.

Nahh...whether or not he is guilty he looks like a pervert.

Title 9 is dumb. Its a way for institutions to look like they are addressing sexual crimes on their campus. But it also makes it easier to sweep under the rug. Accusatioms such as were made against Golden should be investigated by police not by some department in the university.

Well that’s up to the accuser to actually go to the police….

And those exonerated are always innocent. (See Simpson, Orenthal J.)

Those would be marketable pictures. Places like TMZ pay for that sort of sleaze.

As far as I know, no pics that were sent or text conversations or anything has appeared.

Maybe FL paid off a bunch of women? I dunno. I know if a young lady in my family received those pics from someone with a high profile job I would encourage her to first complain about it then monetize his stupidity.

In the event someone was paid off, it’s a closed case. If you’re willing to take money/sign a NDA for an inappropriate action, you have lost all victim status

The case was dismissed because there was no evidence that he committed the allegations “within a university program or activity.” Specific language. Kyle Boone at CBS reported on it about a week ago. That language doesn’t suggest that the allegations were false altogether.

And it wouldn’t be the first time someone got paid off to be quiet. I’m guessing that’s the case here because it all disappeared so quickly.

Like don’t get me wrong, even with a payoff he is still a scumbag if it happened. But once consenting adults agree on a dollar amount to “move on” it’s over.

Too often these people who get paid off to be quiet try to have their cake and eat it too

See, that language is suspicious to me. Most coaching contracts have the old moral terpitude clauses whether it’s a university activity or not. Sort of like that Bama football coach who got caught with the hookers and fired before he ever coached a game. That certainly wasn’t a university activity.

Totally....we ought to round up anyone that looks like him and tie them up and throw them into the Tennessee river.
If they sink and drown, then we'll know they were perverts because God didn't save them, and if they manage to get loose and survive, we'll know they are perverts and got help from their daddy Satan.

I know that but if I had evidence and some creep skated on a technicality, I'd sell the evidence in a heartbeat to embarrass him and likely, in the end, take that scalp.

Oh I know. Stuff like this happens all the time. Doesn’t make it any less sleazy.

Won’t work. If you did that to Golden, his oversized head would keep him afloat.

I agree. If they were paid and NDAed, it's done.

It does, in my mind, smell like that because it disappeared completely. No further statements by any of the ladies after he was cleared. Nothing. No reaction that I've read. Silence.

Cool, then we can hang him for being a witch. lol
That's seriously how they used to determine if someone was a witch.
They'd tie up a suspected witch with and throw them in a body of water and if they sank, it was a sign that they were not a witch.
Many believed that water was pure, and would reject evil, so if the person floated it was seen as evidence that they were a witch.
