Knows what it takes to win in the SEC
Defensive-minded and physical-focused coach
Knows how to beat Bama
Has Florida's number
47-16 over his final 5 seasons at AU (Saban was 48-16 in 5 seasons at LSU)

WTH am I missing here, people? Get on the plane, fly to Lubbock, and sign this guy to come save the UT football program. Is it really that difficult to comprehend?

Why is his record so mediocre at Texas Tech? They are nowhere near what they were with Mike Leach.

If tuberville is hired I will not attend or watch any games until he is fired. He got fired from effin auburn and we hire him? This is the saddest I have ever felt as a UT fan! A washed up auburn coach?...lol! Gotta be effing kidding me.

Tommy too old to start over...go with the youth. I am surprised at Butch Jones, but at least he is young and seems to have a lot of energy....(which we need!!!)

Tuberville followed Leach in 2010, and gave Texas Tech its first losing season in over 10 years in his second year. Leach never had a losing season in his 10 years, and finshed with a record of 84-43. His last 3 seasons were 28-10. Tuberville's 3 seasons are 20-17. Leach's conference record was 47-33. That is 59% wins in conference. Tuberville is 9-17 in conference. That is about 34% wins in conference.

Tommy tubbrtville or butch davis (if available)..both proven coaches.. tenn cannot hire another second rate coach. My fellow vol brothers tenn at this point has to hire a proven coach that can coach in the sec. Alabama lsu sth carolina and others woke up opened the checkbook and hired proven coaches look at them.. now look at us.

Tuberville's not just 'sitting there waiting' for another offer. He's preparing his team for that Muffler Bowl. Tommy shot his wad already in the SEC and he's not exactly setting the Big 12 afire. There's no reason to believe he'd do any better here than he did at Auburn.
