I do think King Howard is realizing what a difficult undertaking building a program completely from scratch is at the D-I level. He's not talking about winning National Championships at FAU anymore.Have they completed the expansion of the entrances so that Howard will be able to get his ego into the stadium?
I agree. However, given the depths he built Miami from, he did have reason to believe in his own abilities. I'll say this much for Howard where Louisville is concerned. Papa John's Stadium wouldn't have been built if it weren't for his success. John L. Smith and Bobby Petrino should thank him regularly for what he did for the Cards. Those two have made a lot of money as a result of being associated with the program Schnellenberger singlehandedly built.I remember when Schnellenberger came to my local TD Club back when he was at Louisville and told everyone with a straight face that he was going to compete for a National title in 3 years.
I almost hurled a chicken leg at him to knock some sense into him.
