I'd love to see him get drafted but i don't think he's cut out for the pros. He was more like the Bobby Graham type.( contributer and cluthc pass catcher but not a consistent playmaker). If you were to see him in anything it would be the af, nfle, or cfl.

How come all our players are dominate in the other leagues but never make it to the Nfl. I don't mean all our players because most of the top players in the league are vols, But I'm talking about people like Marcus Nash and Andy Kelley who just dominate in their leagues. Just makes me wonder some times.

Tony Brown is a little better than Bobby Graham. Remember, Brown led the team in receptions in 2002 and 2004. Also note that Eric Parker plays in the NFL and his stats resemble Bobby Graham's.

Bobby Graham career stats:
01 27 rec for 315 yds, 0 TDs
00 29 rec for 343 yds, 0 TDs
99 10 rec for 121 yds, 0 TDs
98 0 rec for 0 yds, 0 TDs
TOT 66 rec for 779 yds, 0 TDs

Tony Brown career stats:
04 31 rec for 388 yds, 3 TDs
03 24 rec for 376 yds, 3 TDs
02 39 rec for 477 yds, 1 TD
01 0 rec for 0 yds, 0 TD
TOT 94 rec for 1241 yds, 7 TDs

Eric Parker career stats:
01 11 rec for 85 yds, 0 TD
00 12 rec for 107 yds, 0 TD
99 41 rec for 387 yds, 1 TD
98 18 rec for 132 yds, 0 TDs
TOT 82 rec for 711 yds, 1 TD

Joey Kent and Marcus Nash had the fortune of playing at Tennessee during the most productive time period regarding passing stats.

Joey Kent is no longer playing football. Nash and Corey Fleming are all-stars in the AFL. Andy McCullough is also very productive in the AFL. Jermaine Copeland has been an all-star in the XFL, NFLEL, and now the CFL.

Copeland was set to make the Cowboys squad right after the XFL season in 2001, but a preseason injury got him cut. He's been in the CFL ever since. The big fish in a small pond scenario.

However, remember that WRs Peerless Price, Cedric Wilson, Donte' Stallworth, Kelley Washington, Eric Price, and David Martin (now a TE) are all active in the NFL.

Andy Kelly was in NFL camp twice in the early 90's. He played for the Rhein Fire in NFLEL twice and then played part of 2 seasons and then a third full season in the AFL. However, he was not anything special until he played for the Nashville Kats starting in 1997. By the time the NFL starting noticing, it was determined that he was too old to risk trying to develop him into just a backup NFL quarterback.

I read somewhere that Tony Brown really opened some scouts' eyes at a mini combine in Knoxville. Does anyone care to back me up on that?

tony brown actually had a private practice for scouts in knoxville. he ran a 4.5 and was very impressive. he also did very well on the bench.

he will probably get signed as a free agent.

teams like a big possession recevier like brown. he could have a good career.

i think he has more potential then eric parker. and parker starts on an nfl team.

Tony Brown WR Brown (6-2¼, 199) ran his 40s in 4.45 twice. He had a 40-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-10 long jump, a 4.41 short shuttle, a 7.08 cone and did 18 reps.

:yikes: If he showed any hands at all, I can't believe he won't get drafted. Sub 4.5 speed is rare.

Does anybody know what's going on with Kevin Burnett?

Kevin will be a 1st-2nd round pick, seen him as high as #16 overall to the Saints on some mock drafts.

I read the same thing. I think he would make a great 3rd down reciver for a pro team. Maybe not right away but soon. I saw talent in him while at UT. He ran two 4.4 40 yard dashes.
