Jones said the schedule is not completed yet, but when it is, there will be a few surprises on it that Vol fans will be really excited about. Apparently this is in addition to the Preseason NIT, Texas, Memphis, Oklahoma State games.

I wonder who he could be talking about.

maybe some matchups against ACC or Big 10 oppenents?

I know USC inquired about us playing in LA for the opening of their new arena. The preseason NIT prevented us from having the date available.

Duke does have an opening. They have backed out of a deal with USC. Kansas did the same thing.

Early next season would be the ideal time to schedule Duke too. They're losing a truckload of talent, and it will take them a long time next year for their team to come together.

Well I'm guessing no matter who it is, whether it be DUKE, UNC, or another school like that, the game will be on the road no matter what. Which makes it nearly impossible to see live if it is DUKE.

Maybe BRUCE BRUCE will get one in TBA??? Any chance???

That's true, but it would most likely be on TV for a change.

can you imagine the impact of defeating Duke on recruiting, and national view of the university....that would be huge.

I heard through a contact tonight that Tennessee was trying to schedule a series with Syracuse. However, they were not interested in coming to TBA for a game. They would have been open to a game at their place, but wanted no part in coming down here. I have no idea if the talks are done or if they are still negociating...

But, the whole DUKE thing was something I brought up. It is PURE speculation and nothing else. I have no idea who it is and have not heard anything more than what is posted on this board.

I also don't think it will be North Carolina, because we are both in the Preseason NIT.

I would love to have a series with Duke, Kansas, or Arizona.
