Mine too. He’s a winner and definitely understands the relationship side of coaching. I’ve never seen a coach in any sport that is more loved by his current and former players. His support of these players is something special. You can tell he loves his players and they love himMy favorite coach in any sport on any level.
Winner who definitely gets itMy favorite coach in any sport on any level.
I really believe that the honesty and transparency are what separates Tony from the others. His guys know what he tells them is the truth. I have a feeling that some things Tony tells them may not be what they want to hear but need to hear. That is why they respect and trust him. Even Chase Burns knows Tony was doing what was best for him at that point in his career. Did it help the team? Yes it did but it also got Burns back on track. We are so blessed to have Tony as our coach .Tony brings such transparency to his public role as head baseball coach. He lets us watch him grow and mature, not just as a coach, but as a person. He's real, and that alone would be enough to make a parent want their college age son to play for him.
