I think OP’s point was that Schiano’s coaching genius managed to get them to 4th & goal at the 43, ie they went backwards 35 yards

Those of you at the 1975 North Texas State game (I’m pretty sure it was that game - it’s a long time ago now). watched us punt on 4th and goal from the 41. Three plays earlier we had 1st and goal on the 9.
