Dabo has to be bored playing cup cakes every year during the regular season.
Maybe he’ll take on a bigger challenge and take the Bama job whenever Saban retires.
Even though I have said on a number of occasions Dabo will be the guy and get a mega contract it would literally be career suicide to follow him at that school. He slips once and the toothless brigade is ready to fire him.
If he didn't win a national title within his first 2 years, they'd run him out of town on a rail. Simply "racking up wins" doesn't cut it there; you have to win SEC and national titles. A lot of Bammers are quick to say "We know nobody can truly replace Nick Saban" but it is one thing to say that today, when he's still there, and quite another to say that once he's gone and the new coach is going 11-1 with a loss in the SECCG.It wouldn’t be a complete rebuild job. It’s not like he’d be starting off from scratch.
There would be enough talent on the roster for him to immediately sweep through the SEC West, getting to the SEC Championship game and the playoffs.
Whether or not, he’d win an National Title his 1st year is uncertain but he would rack up enough wins to keep the majority of the fan base happy.
I’m not saying he’ll leave Clemson but the ones saying it’s impossible for it to happen is underestimating his ties to the University.

Perhaps sentimental reasons are strong for him, but he's an idiot if he left Clemson for Alabama at this point, IMO. There is absolutely no reason to for monetary or competitive reasons; it'd be purely sentimental reasons.
Your first sentence is the reason he shouldn't leave Clemson. He can compete/win at the same level, and make just as much money, at Clemson. I'm not arguing that he couldn't win titles at Alabama; I'm just saying I don't think he has good reasons to leave for there at this point.Dabo has already won two National Championships and has beaten Saban before.
His recruiting wouldn’t drop, he’d have the resources to win now, and has shown the ability to win at the big stage.
Dabo could win National Titles at Bama. The only schools that would get in his way would probably be Ohio St & Oklahoma.

Close to zero chance Dabo takes that job.
I'm sure it is his to lose, there's just no way he wants it. Got it waaaaaaay better now and no Bama mafia.I still think it’s his to lose. No way in hell Saban or the school approve someone who’s be under Saban. Unless Sark hits absolute gold at Texas then that would be a slight possibility.
But like my buddy @RDU VOL#14 said whomever takes it better hit the ground running. Those fans won’t handle having Tennessee like drought. They really should watch Carolina/Duke this season and see if Davis pans out with the fans and start praying becauae that’ll be a front row seat to spoiled fans if the coach doesent work at Carolina
Plenty of talent but the cultures of those programs are very different. I too believe it would be a mistake for Dabo.It wouldn’t be a complete rebuild job. It’s not like he’d be starting off from scratch.
