barely survive, Boise does another blow out.
TCU beating Utah is not all that impressive now being Utah got beat by unranked ND. any chance BSU moves ahead of TCU?
I still find it funny how everybody says Boise plays weak teams when last week they killed Hawai'i and dropped in the AP poll while Auburn beat Chattanooga and moved up in the poll.

Yeah....

Then Auburn went on to play Georgia while Boise State rolled into the Kibbie Dome to play national powerhouse Idaho.

Auburn plays one or two Chatanooga's. Boise plays 10. Maybe 11.

Boise's signature BCS wins, VT and Oregon State, have lost to James Madison and Wazzu respectively.

yeah it is...the number 2 team in the nation had to fight and was losing to an unranked Georgia team. The ducks should have lost to a cal team that was a missed field goal away..TCU survived against a good SDSU.
if it was up to me...The ducks would still be #1 Auburn a iffy 2, Boise 3, TCU 4 (because the "great" Utah that TCU beat as their sig win lost to a suck @$$ Irish team)
it is going to be funny as hell when Oregon loses to Arizona and "burn takes a butt kicking from bama.
I'll have no gripe if TCU gets in the NC game over Boise because they are pretty much the same team.
but it would be much sweeter if ti was TCU VS BSU. in a BCS NC game.

I could definitely see putting Boise at 3. But that Utah team had their souls crushed last week... I'm a little surprised they lost to ND, yeah... but talk about a reason to have a serious hangover.

It seems to be the great debate this year, though. About to get a whole lot more intense when Auburn loses to 'Bama...

And Boise finally has a decent game on the road at Nevada. I'll be watching that one for sure.

Utah got more then their souls crushed...people want to talk about overrated? Utah got their sig win was an OT win with Pitt. Utah this year was almost the Green wave of 1998.
Boise and Nevada will be the sleeper game of the year...so much is riding on this game that most people aren't even realizing.

Agreed 100%. I've been calling Nevada/Boise State as a big game for awhile. I'm eager to see how Boise fares against a Top 25 team led by the likes of Kaepernick, on the road away from the blue turf.

Now the question is... does a Boise win in Reno give the Broncos enough to get past TCU in the BCS if they roll in their last game (which they should.) My gut says no. We'll see.

look at it this way Boise still has 3 more games..2 against winning teams...TCU has 1 game left..against a 1 win New Mexico team...IF Boise blows away all 3 of their games and TCU blows away the Lobos....the votes will go with boise because they are still playing while TCU sits and waits.
and IMO Boise SHOULD go balls out and beat them all by the highest margin they can...if they can put up 100 points then they should do it...Petersen needs to stop this "meek" crap and put it to it.

of course your gut says no...the last team Oregon wants to see stand between them and a NC is the team that beat them 2 years in a row. and after todays game...Oregon doesn't want to see TCU nor Auburn ether...the brightest flame burns quickest...the Ducks may just be starting to flicker at the wrong time of the year.

My gut has nothing to do with Oregon's chances against those 3 schools. I just don't think BSU will jump TCU. Simple as that. In fact, in order of preference I want to play in a NC game based off how well I think we match up...

1) Auburn
2) Boise State
3) TCU

Also, the Duck team that lost 2 years ago in Autzen has absolutely nothing in common with this one. Different EVERYTHING. Coach. QB. RB. Line. Defense. Kicker. LITERALLY... everything. The Duck team that lost last year in Boise is dramatically different too (no DT, no LMJ, no Cliff Harris, no Paulson, no Huff, an O-Line where every single man was making his 1st start, on the road against a quality opponent, compared to an O-Line with 2 years experience, coach in his 1st game versus 2 year veteran, etc, etc, etc.) Boise fans are eager to play us in a title game... most Oregon fans would love a rematch, myself included.

And Oregon had a bad game. Definitely. Though pretty much every championship team has a stinker down the stretch that they have to pull out (UT/Alabama last year?)

We're 2 games away from the BCS CG. One at home (where we haven't dropped a conference game since 2008) and another against OSU... who is 4-6 and lost to Wazzou today.

Agreed completely. Boise needs to start murdering people. Just get nasty. That's their only chance to jump TCU, especially if they blow the hinges off a good Nevada team in Reno.

all it takes is one...any given saturday...I'd myself like to see the Ducks play for the NC..but I would like to see them play Boise or TCU.

I already gave you my preferences for favorable games matchup wise... but speaking just as a Duck fan for sheer entertainment value...

Oregon/BSU for the BCS Title would be a lot of fun. For both fan bases. A nasty, rivalry like game with two really good teams. I doubt the rest of the country would sure Oregon and Idaho's enthusiasm but that has all the makings of a real dog fight.

I agree Oregon should have probably lost, but saying AU barely got by is a bit much.

Kinda like how VaTech lost to James Madison?

Notre Dame sucks. But they're not James Madison. The Irish will likely finish 6-6 and go bowling. James Madison on the other hand is 5-5... in the FCS. I don't think it matters... it looks like after the polls came out today that BSU has a good chance at jumping TCU... (They have 2 left, both quality teams, one is gonna be 10-1 and Top 20) TCU only has a 1-9 UNM squad to go.

Boise St still has 3 games left, Fresno State, Nevada
and Utah State.
