Clay Travis was on Finebaum and ranked his top 4 SEC coaches of all-time

1. Bryant
2. Spurrier
3. Neyland
4. Saban

What would y'all's top 4 look like?

Funny how some put Bryant over Neyland yet Bryant never could beat him.

If Neyland wouldn't have had to leave coaching at least twice to serve and coached in the area of network TV he'd rank 1 with that drunken degenerate Bryant a distant second.

But he did, so the Bear is first.

It pains me to say this, but I believe the best ever is Saban. As tears roll from my eyes, he has coached against a tougher strength of schedule than Bryant or Neyland. But yes, I believe the top 4 will be the same for almost everyone.

1. Saban

2. Neyland, Bryant, Spurrier

Mason is moving up the charts with a bullet. I would say Orgeron but he left Ole Miss in great shape stacked with talent. Dooley might be number 1. It's like it was almost intentional. Like paying someone to burn down your house to collect the insurance money which he did. He's the only college football coach I've suspected of trying to lose a game intentionally to collect the buyout (Missouri), but I don't want to get off on a rant here.......

I was an Ole Miss fan growing up and Billy was da man. Have a soft spot for Woody. If I remember correctly he always wanted to be a part of the Vols coaching staff after his Vandy gig was up.

In no particular order

Gerry DiNardo
Curley Hallman
Derek Dooley
John Smith

If you're going to put a Vandy coach on the list, it has to be Watson Brown. Dude was bad even by Vandy standards. He had 3 1-10 seasons, and his "best" season was 4-7. His SEC record was 4-29.

DiNardo actually did a decent job at Vandy.

Houston Nutt? Dude was a solid coach, won the SEC west a couple of times.

He probably deserves credit more for the 2006 season.

The other time his team went in 2002 because the #11 10-3 (6-2) Alabama was serving a bowl ban.

(And then Arkansas went and lost to a 7-5 Minnesota in a bowl game.)
