It might not be top 5, but the 2003 win at Miami was pretty unbelievable. We went to Miami and dominated them with our defense and our punter. I don't think anybody expected that to happen.

I can remember a win at UCLA back around 88 or 89. We went out there and won the game, playing typical UT ball: wearing them out in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

The UT players went to the UT section after the game and gave the fans an ovation. That was sweet.

That was the 1989 opener. A lot of people consider that win to be the one that raised the program to the next level.

Yeah, I watched the game. It was a big win. I didnt realize it at the time but what the players did after the game to the fans, was a show of the emense love between the 2.

btw, we had 10,000 seats in our allotment and everyone of them was sold. That section was the definition of "PACKING ORANGE"

You know, Jacquez McClendon, a big linemen from Chattanooga who was one of Tennessee's 2006 first signees is the son of Sterling Henton, who played some QB in that game.

I think he was referring to the 2003 Miami game. UM had lost @ W. Va the week previous, but their home streak was still intact before the UT game.
