If someone has an inside source on one of these prospects, please let us know. These are some of the top DT that are left and have us on their list.

Chris Davenport
Corey Adams
Demonte McAllister
Chris Bonds
Darrington Sentimore
Tyler Stockton

Demonte McAllister went to the same high school my girlfriend went to in Tampa and is supposedly an FSU lock. Thats all I can do for ya now.

Cory Hall should be a pretty high 4 star from what I've read and heard about him. Hopefully we can pull in a couple of really good HS DT's too.

Bonds is almost a lock at Alabama and if he doesnt end up there he will be headed to Notre Shame. With Davenport pretty much being a lock at LSU I think we have a great chance at picking up Sentimore. He has said he would like to play in the SEC so hopefully we can land him. Other than McFarland he is one of my favorite DT's in this class so I really hope we land him. Anyone know if we have a shot at McFarland? Maybe Creer and Moore can help us get this guy.

Yeah, I figured he would go to the "other" UT.

On another note, why are we having such a hard time landing a top DT?

Who is our best recruiter for the defense? It seems to me we aren't telling them what they need or want to hear.

Thats the problem we have had for years. The two best DT we have had in years were Haynesworth and Henderson and they didnt exactly get wowed in recruiting, they were Vol fans and in state talent.

Chavis has never shown he wanted to recruit and losing the kid from GA this year that he should have locked up shows how bad he is. Consider the kids dad is VERY good friends with Chavis, Chavis coached him earlier in his career and could not lock the kid up. Now, this could point towards the Clemson money photo flying around also but to be honest it should have never gotten that far.

Bolden was a big time recruit, again in state. DT are rare and they seem to grow on the palm trees in Florida and Texas but good luck gettin those big boys far from mommas cookin.

Wow, that seems like a HUGE lob of a softball for someone to hit out of the park. Where is the FIRE CHAVIS posts now.

Others have skirted around it but the biggest reason is that Tn HSFB doesn't produce many. They are in such high demand and short supply that it is difficult to get them out of other states.

A natural DT is probably the most rare of all recruits... more rare than a real sub-4.4 recruit.

Just a hunch.

I think we push for Stockton and if we ca get Corey Adams on a visit and land him, I'd would be doing cartwheels.

Although like everyone else, give me McFarland and Davenport first. But I'm greedy.

Im not surer any DT is coming here.
we do seem to be having problems getting them here...i just don't understand, immediate playing time for a big time DT and they still turn us down......:dunno:
