Tons of TN prospects and, more importantly, Vol targets

Top Performers: Sound Mind Sound Body Super Max 100 Midwest Invitational (247sports.com)

Next Five Offense

If Sadler was 1A, Chattanooga (Tenn.) Brainerd School 247Sports Composite four-star 2024 athlete Boo Carter was 1B after a dominant showing in 1-on-1s showing “elite athletic ability and explosiveness,” per Blackwell. Carter announced his top five at the camp including Colorado, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee with most schools recruiting him as a defensive back but the Buckeyes liking him out of the backfield. In this setting he showed he can be a dynamic pass catcher as well, and also was open a bunchy in the 7-on-7 phase.

Top Five Defense

Cleveland (Tenn.) Bradley Central 2024 athlete Marcus Goree Jr. laid down some “freakish” testing numbers including a 4.45 40-yard dash and 10-11 broad jump. “Marcus showed great cover skills at corner while also working at safety,” Blackwell said. Colorado is Goree’s latest offer joining the likes of Tennessee, Auburn, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Ole Miss.

Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Siegel 2025 standout Terrion Grant, a 6-foot-3, 182-pound specimen ran 4.52 with a 10-1 broad jump and a 78-5 inch wingspan. “Showed ability to mirror and cover every type of receiver at the camp,” Blackwell said. “Was ultra competitive and was able to show very good ball skills. Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Michigan and Ole Miss are already in the game for Grant.

Nashville (Tenn.) CPA 2024 athlete Ondre Evans measured in at 6-1, 185 and according to Blackwell “showed elite speed and quickness in defensive back drills and 1-on-1s.” Evans also shined in the 7on7 portion. Evans is approaching 20 offers and is high on the likes of Arkansas, NC State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy 2025 athlete CJ Jimcoily check in at 6-foot-2 1/2, 193 pounds with a 76 inch wingspan. Played corner and safety and flashed a bunch in 1on1s and 7on7.

Offensive linemen that caught the eye of staffers included Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale 2024 Alejando Meza and Davonta Love out of Chippewa Valley. Humholdt (Tenn.) High 2025 defensive lineman Stephon Shivers was tops in his group and showed why he has several early offers.

Belleville (Mich.) High Top247 prospect Jeremiah Beasley led the linebacker group. ***He's coming this weekend***

Hard to believe Stephon Shivers (6-6, 325) is just a HS sophomore.

Humboldt Viking standout football player, Stephon Shivers, spent part of his Christmas break making a name for himself. Shivers, who is a sophomore at Humboldt Jr./Sr. High School and touted among the top lineman in the country, was invited to attend Supermax 100 Midwest Invitational held at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich., home of the NFL’s Detroit Lions. The NFL combine type athletic try-out was held December 26 and 27. Humboldt City Schools Safety and Project Manager Viktor Horton, who wears many hats for the school system, was key in getting Shivers’ invitation to the workout. Horton contacted Buck Fitzgerald, co-founder of Supermax 100, to assure Shivers would get an invitation to attend...

...“We did defensive drills,” Shivers said of Supermax 100’s defensive line combine drills. “We did cone drills, one-on-one, ran the 40 (yard dash) and L-drills. My favorite was the one-on-ones.” During the two-day try-outs, Shivers took advantage of every opportunity. His physical physique is off the charts. At 6’6”, 325 lbs, Shivers had the longest wing-span of 84 inches at Supermax. He also had the largest hands at 10.5-inches. He had an amazing broad jump for a big man at 6 ft., 7-inches.

When asked how many one-on-ones he did, Shivers responded with, “Four—and I won all four! That was my favorite drill.” Horton had videos on his phone from Supermax where Shivers dominated the one-on-one drills. The commentator was super hyped with Shivers’ performance and referred to him as a freight train.

Buck has his hooks in Shivers early. Hopefully the fact that Humboldt is a UT town will help overcome that.

You're answering a question with a question.

Yes to your question.

Look I don't want to make this entire thread about Buck and NPA. Especially because this young man looks like he's going to be a bigtime, elite recruit and I hope he's a Vol.

That said, it starts here:

"Humboldt City Schools Safety and Project Manager Viktor Horton, who wears many hats for the school system, was key in getting Shivers’ invitation to the workout. Horton contacted Buck Fitzgerald, co-founder of Supermax 100, to assure Shivers would get an invitation to attend."

And then this:

"Most of the top schools were on the live feed,” Fitzgerald noted. “We’re hearing back from colleges, requesting film, footage of the drills. We get a bunch of requests. Colleges contacted us immediately (regarding Shivers)—nationwide. Every conference in the Power 5 is showing interest in him.”

So someone reached out to Buck on behalf of Shivers in order to make sure the young man got an invite to this event. And now Buck is talking as if he is managing this recruitment. We all know, and respectfully anyone who doesn't see this is, RESPECTFULLY, in denial or is being purposefully ignorant, that this is not good for UT. I'm not saying we can't or won't get this young man, but when Buck is involved it changes a recruitment. And not in a good way for UT. Period.

Its a non-issue. All these TN kids that went somewhere else, most of them we didn't recruit hard. Kids got more attention from different programs.

UTs money is just as useful as anyone elses, so why would Buck turn it down out of "spite"?😅

Buck still bleeds orange, but his bank account (like everyone else's ) is filled with green.

This is stupid how much people think Buck had a vendetta against UT.

THE TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS WON'T WIN AN SEC CHAMPIONSHIP OFF A ROSTER COMPILED OF NPA PLAYERS.

It's such a small minded argument....
Tennessee recruits NATIONALLY, and NPA is about getting TN kids noticed. Those don't need to lineup🙄...

Agree to disagree on this issue, willing to move on (and not get butthurt about calling people's arguments "stupid" or "small minded")

You have people on here EXPECTING In-State walk-ons to get a scholarship after year one lol!
"Oh we got that QB from Henry County what a steal!" Steal from who??

Al Wilson, Travis Stephens, John Henderson etc were guys that could have played anywhere.
Tennessee boys who chose Tennessee.
But you all constantly make the mistake of thinking that a Tennessee boy with some P5 offers automatically deserves a Tennessee Vol scholarship.:confused::confused:
CLUELESS!!

You can compile a team of NPA players 9-12 grade right now, and fly them out to Santa Ana, CA to face Mater Dei . They would promptly get their face stomped in! Or St. John Bosco. Bishop Gorman, or Miami Central.
Buck is giving back to his home state buy getting TN kids P5 offers where otherwise they may not have been recruited. Like that trash coach at Colquitt Co, GA that does jackshit to expose his players.
We signed Luttrell from there this year because he camped at UT on his own dime, not because his coach wanted exposure for him...

Elite Talent Football Academy and NPA Seals Adidas Sponsorsh...

Oh that link above might be useful .

I guess Kaleb Beasley is tainted because he got exposure through NPA and affiliates...

Ok cool, be a dick about it
Play stupid games you win stupid prizes!

I turned down an offer to work with NPA.
Not because they were taking advantage of kids , but because I didn't want to live in Tennessee haha.

I know Buck and he HAS helped many recruits sign with UT. Just do a little research....

You and others like you just don't know a damn thing about what recruits are worthy to go toe to toe with the Bama's and UGAs🙄
Barion Brown - couldn't qualify at UT or Alabama
Key Lawrence SIGNED WITH UT.
Reggie Grimes TRASH player that signed with OU because of the outstanding sell job by NPA.
Jack Jones
Tiny Richarcdson
James Stone
Etc.....

Very few of their players were good enough to play here!!! WHY IS THAT SO HARD FOR YOU ALL TO GET THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULLS???

Jacob Hood signed with UGA 😬!!!!...
(Transferred to Nebraska 😏)

Meanwhile I'm going to continue to notice the awesome selective recruiting that Heupel and company are doing. Going after the best players on the best high schools in the country (including TN high schools)

Cool, I totally believe a random person on the internet turned down a job, a story about which completely qualifies him or her to not just declare him/herself to be all-knowing but also carte blanche to be a dick.

Your alleged tie to NPA obviously clouds your vision and judgement, so I'll refrain from engaging with you on here going forward. Best of luck to you, hope you find a job for which interpersonal skills aren't a prerequisite.

What NPA guy have we wanted under Heupel that we haven't gotten?
