Top UT Freshman According To Dave Hooker

Except for a few early entries, we know no more about these players than we did the day they signed. Hooker is wasting ink to earn a paycheck. The rest of us should wait until they are all practicing and playing. I now live in Clarksville. I know that playing hurt Jalen Reeves-Mabin was as valuable a HS football player as I have ever known about. Most on here know no more about him than was reported by the recruiting services. Butch's opinion will mean more than Hooker's.

U havin a bad or something? Little on the sensitive side today... Need a snickers?

I'm really excited about both Vereen and North. The jury is still out on the QB situation and I would honestly be surprised if either dobbs or ferguson will see any action this season. Both seem to be full of potential but I just feel like Coach would ideally like to redshirt both of them this year before giving them a chance on the field. You never know tho.

Nobody said Dobbs? I mean, he's basically slated as our starting QB according to some posters on here......:horse:

The last 7-8 years have made our fans Whacko....Nut's, crazy and rabid, grasping at shadows....God bless'm
It will take some time to get over the Gruden mania. You have to give the fans credit, they never quit dreaming and hoping, we'll eventually be back to being proud of our beloved Vols.....but it will be 3-4-5 years in the future.

Please don't use logic as you'll spend countless hours explaining yourself to those who don't grasp the concept.

This writer makes me feel like he knows nothing about UT football the way he disses our WR's.

Yes, we lost some good WR's from last years team BUT I think our current WR's are going to step up and seriously surprise some people once we find our accurate QB to get them the ball.

I think the CROOMSTER can turn into a serious weapon and he can play TE as well as any of the WR positions so we can move him around all over the field and confuse the crap out of the D alot of times during every game.

I think Carter may turn out to be a big surprise too BUT he won't be the big play guy, he'll be the guy that gets where he needs to be, stays focused and catches the ball to keep the chains moving more consistently.

We have other guys too, besides our good freshmen, that will get alot of opportunities to prove themselves and I think our WR's will start letting people know that WR U is alive and very well indeed.

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

Marquez North has the speed and raw athletic ability to cause some serious mismatches, so he's a name everyone will have their eye on. I expect that we will see his name more and more as the season progresses. But as far as Freshmen receivers go, I think we'll hear Paul Harris name more than we hear North. Harris gets an edge for being an EE, but I think his athleticism and size gets him early playing tame, as early as Game 1. JUCO transfer Woody Quinn is not a Freshman, but he is a newcomer on the team. I expect him to be one of the more reliable targets on offense this year. Malik Foreman would be my other pick to look out for. I think he's got the speed and hopefully the ball skills to see some early playing time at a position that needs a lot of help. Reeves-Maybin is a guy we'll be seeing a lot on special teams, I think.

Sutton.
North has been impactful and is a beast but Cam is consistently in great position in coverage and making big hits in run support.
