I can not imagine how these kids are feeling during this final stretch. The have been beat up by the best teams in the nation for the majority of the season. They are tired, full of aches and pains, and probably mentally exhausted. I know it is the coaches job to keep them going. Hopefully they can catch their breath and finish strong. I understand the beatdowns shoildnt happen but I credit it to the lack of depth and a schedule that has nearly killed these guys. I am still optimistic about the future once we get another off season under out belt and get some more horses in here.

I'd like to know how you all think we will be any better off next year? You talk about getting more horses in here and it doesn't make sense to think next years players will be better off. If the new coaching staff can't improve the players that are already there how are they going to improve the freshmen. I'm sorry you should already know how to block and tackle before you get to college level.

I know this isn't the popular opinion but before we hit the brutalbpart of our schedule I thought we had improved then our players just got beatdown by the hierarchy of the SEC. Another off season of learning the system, conditioning, and improved depth with the #2 recruiting class in the nation won't hurt. Also I kmow Oklahoma is no joke bit losing Oregon is a benefit too. I am saying year 3 under Jones is prime to make a run.

Its kind of like if you gain 150 lbs over a few years and you are now big and fat, your personal trainer you hired isn't going to get you a six pack within 8 months. It takes time just like it takes time to get fat...it will be turned around.

We are the first team since 1993 to play 7 games vs. Top 25 teams and 5 of those have been against Top 10 teams. Most brutal schedule I can ever remember. Compare that to "The " Ohio State University (lol) who has NOT played against a Top 10 team since 2009. We would be a pretty good team if we were in the Big 10 instead of the SEC since we have Big10 sipped but not SEC speed right now. CBJ is changing this and we will have speed in the next few years.

Let's all just hold hands and weep for these poor kids. They deserve a trophy for just participating.

or.....

They could just man up and win a game or two. They could look at the challenge and try to use it as an opportunity to make a statement about themselves and this team.

It isn't happening.

I agree I would like to see them rise to the occasion as well. However it will take time. You folks that think you can make an honest assessment of CBJ after one brutal season are ridiculous. He is building something. Entire change of culture.

It's a hell of a time to try to rebuild in the SEC. Bama has never been better and teams like Vandy, mizzou and Ole Miss are at their football program peaks as well.

Uh, look at the freshmen this year that are developed. Some people on here are the same mofos that complain about people standing or being "too loud." Inky said it best. Either b!tch and moan then leave or get behind the team." Don't be a 2 face hypocrite that many of you are. If y'all showed the enthuisiasm y'all show when we lose for the times we win, this fan base might be something to be proud to be part of.

Before the season started I said we'll see if they players are truly buying in come November. This is the point where the team quit last year, except the loss was to Mizzou in OT to go 4-6.

Once faster players are at UT, it won't matter if they are out of position, take bad angles, bite on fakes, and don't tackle.

More speed plus the best coaching staff in America equals championships!

You think this team is quitting or just out of gas? I want to see how they come out of this bye week.

IMO, if at this point they're out of gas, the rest from the bye week should help them get a little back and they should be able to finish strong and get the 2 wins necessary.

If Vandy starts to get ahead, I want to see how this team responds. Will they quit?

Butch took over at a bad time you gotta realize he has three years of Dooley recruits which are clearly not top SEC talent. He has coached them up from last year that's evident. Give butch three years of top five recruiting classes and were back on top.....just like inky said no one wants to be around for the crusafixion but everyone wants to be there for the resurrection your either with UT or your not so suck it up shut your mouth and support this team back to the top

Who you calling a hypocrite, punk? I'm just calling it like I see it. When I played HS football if I didn't do my job at blocking or tackling come Monday practice the coach ran my ass off. Didn't take me long to develop skills to put the other team on the ground. If you can't see the lack of blocking or tackling that's your problem. You probably were one of the band members and the only knew how to blow something and haven't the slightest idea on how the game is played!!

Florida and Georgia suck. Do we count them in the tough category?

I've been saying all season we've got the hardest schedule in the history of football. It's the worst schedule for a team in this type of situation. New coach, no depth on defense, lack of talent: it gets worse not better with no depth. Guys breakdown with no relief. It's what's happening here. Teams that don't have better talent make up for that in depth.

It's hard to show enthusiasm when the other team runs for 444 yards on you. GBO!

How would your high school team do against utc? My guess is you'd be out of position take bad angles and look like quiters.
Don't wait for Monday Wicky, you should start your running now
