Tough weekend for ranked teams

Tough year. I think one of the few things keeping me from clocking out on the season is the knowledge that there are no great teams in college basketball this year, which means maybe this could be a perfect time to have a flawed team and still make a deep tournament run.

No, because you're holding both Barnes and the other coaches to the same standard. You're supposed to make excuses for the other coaches and explain why their losses weren't as bad as Barnes's. Back to the books with you, Voltopia!

I won't clock out either as long as the team shows some fight. Having said that, I don't have any expectations with this bunch. And to be honest, I'm kinda ready to see several on this roster move on. We need new blood and a lot of it.

It's the main reason I haven't totally lost it yet. Lord knows of any program we are due a hot NCAAT run since we've had.....one. One and a half if you count the 2007 team almost knocking off Ohio St.

But I'd also be lying if I'm really counting on it happening.

Expect losses. And this Tennessee team is good but not great. If Phillips had progressed, might have been a different story. Still a bit disappointed that a senior ladden team stumbled like this.
