I know Tracy Hayworth and he is wanting to join the staff at Tennessee really bad. He is a wonderful person and coach, and just needing a chance to get to the major college sideline.

I'd support this. My dad grew up in Winchester around the same time as Hayworth so he knows him. Says he's a stand up guy. Where does he coach now?

I talk to Tracy all the time and know his entire family. I use to drive his family to the games every Saturday. Tracy is respected very much and I know he has been successful everywhere he has been, he just hasn't had the chance to make the next step. He is a VFL.

I suppose you never know but I think BJ got his staff locked up relatively quickly. I think if Tee signs on that will be it. On top of that I think we need someone who's actually been coaching at a major college program.

Graduated and played jr high and hs football with Tracy. Very smart man. Wish he could get on with a team that eventually could lead him to Tennessee.

Peter Sirmon didn't have a coaching backgound and did a pretty good job. Tracy played several years in the NFL with the Lions and does have coaching backgroundl. The main thing is he is a VFL and I believe he would be a dynamite recruiter.

I have to say that Tracy was awesome as both a player and person. I lived on the same floor with him on the 5th floor at Morrill when Gibbs was under construction and he was the one player who actually interacted with the others on the floor and was just a super nice guy and very respectful to everyone.

He just wanted nothing more than to be treated like everyone else on the floor. I couldn’t say that about many of the other players that were living there at the time.

Won't disagree with any of that. But Sirmon came on right after his NFL career ended and as a GA. There are not many things Tracy couldn't do. Very bright and intellegent person. But being away from big time coaching would hurt him getting a job in the SEC

Did you graduate from FC? If so, what year? Did you play football? We may have been teammates. I graduated in 86.

Well, as much money as Butch has to work with he could probably find a spot for him

CBJ has stated he has an open door policy. So all Tracy needs to do is show up, present himself and case and see what happens.

He was awesome on the field. Didn't he play a long time with the Lions?

Played six seasons. Came back home and stated a fencing business. Coached at University of the South a few years, then the small school in Missouri. Took off this season to watch his son's last year of middle school football.
