He has had a nice year on the court. He's still inconsistent which some act as if is worse than sucking all the time but he is a force when he is going well. Barton is doing well recently but at this point it was a bad trade. If Barton can keep it going he can change that.

Even when its going well he's still a liability on defense.imo

So, just because a player isn't ideal doesn't mean they don't have a place on the team. If that was the case we wouldn't have a starting 5.

Martin forced Golden to transfer because it made the team worse. This all goes back to my Stallings/Martin Purdue grads conspiracy. They probably switched one of his papers with a plagiarized one. Then, they hired that young girl to sexualize him. On top of that they poisoned his dad.

It all makes perfect sense really.

arguments about this being a better team with trae are baseless. Facts are he was benched last year twice, asked to leave the program due to decisions off the field and lack of leadership on the court, leads a below .500 team this year and couldn't get Tn to the tourney during a time where he not only led them to 36 and 38 points early in the year in games that would've put them in the tourney if won, but also bad losses with late collapses in both years with CM, no ncaa tourney visits, 2 nit visits and no postseason wins.
That's what you have to go by, which is reality and more accurate than a hypothetical.
You think Stokes plays like he has with Trae jacking it up 12-15 times a game and his high turnover rate? Trae still can't feed the post.

Trae Golden played at a higher level every year of his career than barton has this year. That's an absolute fact. You using an argument that trade golden was benched last year is not a winning argument. Its illogical and utterly stupid considering next to no one trusts our coaches judgment. Saying he isn't leading Georgia tech, is a failed argument, gt is only better than us at guess what position? PG. Saying he didn't lead us to the tourney last year is a horrific argument considering we have maymon back and everyone else is playing at a higher level yet we are in the exact same position.

As bad as barton has played at times, Barton hits a higher % of 3's, has more assts, rebs, and stls per minute than Trae this year, head to head comparison. Trae scores more and has more turnovers per minute played. Terrible Barton outplays your boy via stats per minute played in all but scoring and ft stats. And that doesn't even consider Trae letting every pg get by him with ease, so much that freaking Skylar (who isn't here and we could've used this year) had to guard opposing pgs, and Trae didn't know the definition of help d.

One of us uses what happens or happened on the court while one of us hypothesizes based on nothing that has actually happened.

What happened on the court is that barton has been FAR worse than trade Golden ever was. Simple. His numbers arent even comparable. The numbers aren't close. Nobody out there thinks barton is having a better year than golden. I've never heard anyone saynhe is an impact player or is having anything but a dreadful year. He is a far worse passer than golden, he is worse at feeding the post. He is worse in every category except 3 fg% and turnovers. He's not noticeably better defensively. He's not better than Skylar McBee. Fail.
