From the volquest.com site today:

by Paul Fortenberry
Trae Golden is going nuts this season. That may be an understatement. The Tennessee signee is averaging over 30 points-per-game and had a streak of six straight games scoring 40 or more. In one game he scored 30 in the fourth quarter to bring his team back from an 18 ...

I couldn't read the rest because I don't pay for sports or news. But, that's all I need to know about this future Volunteer. He's beginning to look like either the illegitimate child of Pistol Pete Maravich or the second-coming of Chris Lofton. But, verbal "commitments" make me nervous. Bruce needs to ensure that this kid is as committed as John Hinckley.

He should be signed because he, Jordan McRae, and Tobias Harris all signed with Tennessee in the early signing period. In basketball there's two signing periods. I wish they would have two signing periods in football.

He signed brother. And he's a top notch spokesman for UT, came out after the arrest and said he was part of the Tennessee "Family" and that they should stick together.

I think that would hurt us more than help us.

I'm just afraid that he'll pull a Josh Selby now that his profile is on the rise. We don't need another "commitment" to get too big for his britches because of the newfound media attention and start looking around. We need this kid like Oprah needs airbrushing.

Wait, maybe you missed it. He's SIGNED. It's done. He is playing for us or sitting out for a year.

Random question but it beats starting my own thread.
Did cousins really get kicked out of two high schools?

Golden won't pull a Selby. He was actually a top ten player as a sophomore and then got bumped because he lacked ideal size for an elite player. However, he has always been highly recruited, initially committing to Ohio State, and is a great talent. He won't get like Selby, especially having already signed and to be on campus in a few months.

Good gosh a mighty Joe Friday those are some numbers. Cant wait to see him and ol Harris in Orange next year we are in desperate need of a consistent pure shooter.

Trae Golden is going to be a stud IMO. Harris is an amazingly skilled post. McRae is pretty much going to be a replacement for JP Prince.

Three great guys in this class.

Very puzzling thread title at first glance. I thought Jodie Foster might have been too old for Trae.

McRae will be the best shooter out of this class IMO, he is draino and just strokes it like water

Golden is the real deal. I'm sure were gonna use him at PG, but he could swing either way, PG or SG. I got to watch him a little in the Arby's Classic. He's easily the best player on his team and carried the load. What he lacks in size he makes up for in true talent. If he develops like he can, he may be our version of Felton, A PG that an run the floor and pull it up and drain it when needed. Havnt got to really watch McRae but if he's as good as advertised... Him, Golden, and Harris, with Kenny Hall can really become a group that will be feared IMO.

Actually, no, Mcrae is not known to be a shooter at all. He is shooting 28% from three, and 62% from the free throw line this year. His stengths are slashing and getting to the rim. Mcrae will be a good player, but he is not a shooter.
