Training camp like recess

I believe he is using the term recess in the sense of different than the norm. Not like play time in school.

Jones is not making it monotonous and like drill work, he is incorporating things to make it fun and keeping things fresh.

Not sure if you have ever tried to keep the attention of 17-22 year olds; but boring, monotonous things wouldn't be the way to do it.

Pretty sure he means like the play time in school.

Otherwise he would have said the practices have been a recess; not like a recess.

be very concerned. As a direct result, I'm seeing a 6-7 win ceiling on this year, IF we're lucky.

This yr is gonna be rough fellas. I think 7-6 (including a bowl win) is possible, but I won't be disappointed if we go 5-7. It's the first yr under CBJ. He has to have a little time.

I don't really know.....

But, in high school (I know lololol) our wresting coach made us run until some of us threw up or just quit from exhaustion, then did weights, then spared, then ran again...

I hated it, I would sit in the class room and just count down the hours till practice, because I knew it would be hell.

I hated it with passion.

We were also State Champs 3/4 years.

But, I think they got most of their conditioning was done in the summer, so now it's just slowing down, fine tuning little things, and getting the plays perfect. Which would seem fun, and they play good music on the speakers.

It wouldn't be rough if CBJ would lead a more hardnosed practice. We could easily get to 9 wins if our guys weren't having any fun. IMO JMO TIFWIW

I agree, give Jones time, afterall he's the only coach that actually wanted the job.....after 4 coaches turned down the Vols rebuilding job

I'm not sure if i understand what that guy's goal was... to break the board? to jump over it? I mean, that's a big board, when they turn it at the end, it's at least a 3"x3".

No way dude is breaking that.

4x4. He ran straight through the 3x3. Thats what happens when you get too cocky
