Cooks is done. Her knee issues were getting progressively worse and she participated in graduation day ceremonies. I don't think she'll be looking to go elsewhere.

Mingo-Young is another one that would be a great take. I think she has the most upside of all of their guards. Even Caterrion Thompson would fit in as a guard with decent size and good outside shooter. I'd say there's really only one player on the team (freshman post Charlotte Kohl) that WOULDN'T be a take.

I can see Kellie really upgrading her roster through the portal this year. it’s gonna be a wait and see for the bigger programs so we are going to have to be patient and that sucks lol

I wonder if Ole Miss becomes a destination for some of the MSST players? Maybe someone like Myah Taylor who is an in-state kid. If they got her and that rumor someone stated about Howard going to Ole Miss is true, they could be a top 3 team in the SEC.

True. Maybe she can't get an elite Wing or C with Burrell/Horston/Key pegged as starters, but the team can get a nice portal upgrade for their PG and PF spots.

Exactly, and i think Jackson could excel in Re’s spot and those minutes and points are ups for grabs. She would allow them to play four out 1 in type of ball which is what it looks like kellie likes to play.

Nothing wrong with it at all! My happens to be different and I posted it as well. I definitely don’t agree with you that we should all be patting these coaches on the back and telling them it’s all OK. And I most definitely don’t agree that a student athlete should feel obligated to stay and play for someone who is misusing their talents.

That's the truth. If you look at all their best players' stats from last year to this year, the dropoff is just appalling. Only Talyor actually improved out of the entire roster. If I were a State fan, I would want a new coach NOW, before it gets any worse.

The Portal works both ways. We need to worry about what we can potentially lose after this season.

Don’t get him/her started. Every other post PG1 makes is about one of our players transferring. Usually to UCONN. Just stirring the pot.

That poster was trying to say Rae was going to transfer the other day and that couldn’t be further from the truth. Rae posted about Kellie and how much she loves her on her Instagram stories multiple times this season. Everyone on the team looked content to me except for Horston at times. She seemed frustrated with herself and the fans not the coaches though.

No. Just saying we seem to enjoy other teams losing players and it’s not like we haven’t been there and nothing says we won’t be there again. Maybe Burrell and Key just might want to go somewhere to have a legit shot at winning a NC instead of 3rd or 4th in SEC. It’s possible.

0 chance of that happening with Burrell. Key would be a big surprise, but if she wanted to play with her sister, you might get me to listen. Parity is coming to the SEC. There are 5+ teams just a player or 2 away from being on top.

Agree on parity in SEC if you mean 5-6 teams have a shot at 2nd place. SC has a stronghold on 1st.

The rest of the field is making progress. SC lost 2 regular season games this year. I am afraid they will not be able to stay close to UCONN in the next 2-3 years.

I hope you are right as far as rest of field is gaining on SC. As far as UCONN goes until they win another NC they aren’t doing anything but getting ranked at top of poll then losing in Final Fours.
