My wife and I love to travel and are trying to put together some more trips. We have been to Maui, NYC, Vegas, most of the east coast beaches. What are some good places to visit within the continental US? We are thinking about an Alaskan cruise or Glacier National Park next year. Has anyone visited those spots?

I watched lots of cruise ships leave Vancouver, BC headed to Alaska a few years ago. Everyone I know that has been to Alaska, loved it. I spent 10 days on Vancouver Island a few years ago and would love to go back. It has much of the beauty of Alaska but is hours closer and with the Canadian $ being devalued in comparison to the US $, was pretty cheap.

If you like fishing, whether it be for salmon and halibut in the passage or the Pacific, fly fishing in the streams, hiking, whale watching, etc., Vancouver Island is pretty cool. Also, take a ferry across the passage and spend a day or two in Vancouver. Nice town.

We spent a week on a dude ranch in Black Hills South Dakota. One of the coolest vacations I have ever had.

Let me throw in my two cents worth. I have been to many places in this wonderful country, but Glacier Park takes the cake so far. The only thing that was half as scenic as GP was New England in the fall. Glaceir is a MUST. It's OWB approved.

It was...It was a ranch run by christians who had youths from all over the US as the ranch hands. It's a great place for families. And it was fairly inexpensive. I think the cabin cost us about 700 for the week. We took trail rides everyday and had chuckwagon breakfast every morning. Great place.
