I have a hand crafted knife, about 10 inches long, in a wooden holder, came from uncle during WWII.Two brothers went over, infantry, and naval reserve, one KIA, not sure who sent knife home.Grandmother gave to me years ago.
Well, I really lost most but I did save a few thing my grandmother gave me too. One is a teapot someone gave her from a trip to China about 40 years ago. Its beautiful!! Im sure its worth something!! Also, a baby blanket she made for each of her grandkids' first born. It was floating but I saved it and there are no stains on it!!
I have something that really doesn't have any monetary value but it's pretty cool.
I have a cigar box filled with the ticket stubs of every sporting event I have been to since around 1990. I also have ticket stubs from other events. It's cool to look through them and rekindle some of the memories I have had in the past. Here are a couple of cool ones:
2005 Masters plastic credit card for the final round.
Every ticket from the 1998 Vol Football season's home games, including the SEC championship game.
If anyone has ever seen the show "You Gotta See This", there is a guy who tries to catch a home run ball and ends up falling out of the stands behind the outfield wall, the guy sat about 10 seats from me. I have that ticket as well.
1993 Jimmy Buffet ticket in Cincinnati, OH.
I saved all my concert stubs from my first in 1989. It is fun too look back and see all of them. I didnt realize I had been to so many!!!!!
I have a photo of my great great great grandparents that was taken c1870, along with one of my great grandmother taken about the same time. She is a little girl in the pic. They are both the old tin style of photos. I have copies of photos of several of my other ancetors, but these are the only originals that I have.
