Was listening to the game on the radio, I still have not seen the hit. Anybody got a link to the video of hit?

He was sliding and got popped on the way down. I think he may have gotten a helmet to the jaw. Surprisingly, no flag was thrown. It was very borderline.

I was watching the game and it wasn't a late hit. A Chiefs player pushed a Bengal into Green as he was sliding. Trent's head hit the field VERY hard. Has anyone heard any updates on him?

No link... saw one replay of it... I'd imagine it got a late hit penalty.
There was no penalty on the play...That is why I am curious to see it for myself. I do not understand how a defensive lineman could so seriously injure a QB who is sliding, without there being some kind of late hit flag.

The replay I saw of it you could just see the Bengals player coming in and nailing him and his head snapping back on the field.

Last I heard was he was awake and has no recollection of the game. If he is not able to make it back on the field soon, the Chiefs could very well be looking at drafting Brady Quinn in the Spring.

Like I just posted, it was borderline. He got hit as he went into a slide. 9 times out of 10 it would have been a flag. I wouldn't be surprised if the defender still got fined.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 10, 2006) -- Kansas City quarterback Trent Green was awake and had feeling in his extremities but no memory of laying motionless and being taken from the field on a stretcher following a brutal hit by Cincinnati's Robert Geathers.
A short time after Green was taken through the tunnel to be examined, Chiefs spokesman Bob Moore said the quarterback was awake, had feeling but he could not recall what happened.
Green, who started his 80th straight game, went into a feet-first hook slide at the end of a run in the third quarter when Geathers charged in and appeared to hit Green's head or chest with his shoulder.

Green's neck snapped back hard into the turf and he lay motionless for a few moments. He then was taken off on a stretcher, with an attendant holding his hands under Green's helmet.
There was no penalty on the play.

How is the Brody Croyle experiment going?

Huard actualy did fairly decent.
I didn't see the game (listened to it,) however, I would think he owes much of his numbers to a Bengal defense that pretty much was fine allowing anything underneath with a 17-3 lead in the 4th.

It was mentioned during the Colts game that Trent is going to be fine. I think they also said he'd be back next week.

I was watching the game. They didn't call a penalty on the play. The guy kinda got blocked towards him and it looked like he started flying at him just before he started his slide.

Dude got Jacked up!

The Chiefs are reportedly hoping that Trent Green (head trauma) will be able to return after the team's September 24 bye week.
