Waits weeks to do "minor cleanup" that coincidentally let's him avoid combine on field comparisons. At best, can do pro day on home field where numbers are not easily compared to Indy. Mortensen said even Ala pro day is iffy.

If I am a GM, I smell a rat and would not gamble any pick higher than a third on this guy. RB's just are not worth what they used to be, especially with an evasive approach to draft evaluation.

anybody that could get trent late in the first early second at the latest would feel like its well worth it

even tho rb value has gone down i think he's the best prospect since ap if healthy top 10 for sure

he's got it all size, speed, moves, & strong as hell

Game performance > combine results

Honestly, not really/completely...it's pretty close (game performance v combine+pro days, etc)

More than anything, though, injuries scare these guys before the draft...especially knee injuries

I think the OP is perhaps blowing this a bit out of proportion though

This will certainly put that knee's health under more scrutiny. Still, there's precious little to "prove" for this guy as long as it's assumed it's PATP.

I'll admit I was actually curious to see what kind of numbers he'd put up. He seemed like he'd have been exactly the kind of guy that would benefit most from showing off in the strength/speed setting.

 Well you are not a GM, and your comment is stupid. You must not have watched Trent for the last 3 years, did he look like a player that avoids competition, don't think he would avoid comparison since no one compared to him anyway.

This reminds me of all the naysayers when Adrian Peterson's ability was being questioned per his shoulder injury. Folks will be kicking themselves for passing on Richardson.

That DE from Clemson was projected as the #1 pick. Then they found his knee problem and he dropped to the 2nd round.

Didn't he have some off the field issues too?? Could be thinking of the wrong guy, but I thought he has some off the field issues too that caused him the fall even farther.
