Trent Richardson to the Colts

When does Cleveland begin notifying their opponents of their decision to forfeit all games remaining on their schedule this year? What a stupid move!

It makes sense now that the Browns were strangely under utilizing Richardson this year to keep him healthy for a 1st rounder type of trade.

I don't know.... Trent can't stay healthy.

.....a nasty little trend for Bama rb's.

The Browns are building for the future and honestly rb's are the easiest to replace.

Lets say they get their hands on say Yeldon or Gurley next year plus another first round pick, I'd say they came out ahead.

Or they could package the picks for Clowney.

Chess. ...not checkers, gentlemen.

Somewhat fair point, possibly say with a Gurley (sp?) next season. As well as Trent's injury history so far.

But it's still something to be said for relying so much on unproven potential this far ahead over what one already has

Interesting point, rumor has it AL players continue to play hurt in college because they are afraid they won't be able to reclaim their starting job (since they recruit #1 classes each year).

Honestly, that pretty much sounds like why most players anywhere would, if given a choice, want to try to continue playing after getting injured (if capable, of course) (well, save the #1 recruiting class part)

Exactly. they bring in a couple 4/5 star backs a year.

....Saban comes from the Belichick tree. Injuries are just another excuse for those guys.

Wow didn't see that coming!

I was actually hoping the Saints would have unloaded their weight in the off-season and kept Ivory. Good move by the Browns, unless you have a once a decade RB, a 1st round should not be used on a RB imho. It's not a bad pickup by the colts but I don't know about the 1st round pick.

They're not going to have to put a package together for Clowney, they just assured themselves of the number one pick. Brian Hoyer isn't winning games for you.

I like Lombardi. He was always a good guest on the BS Report podcasts. Very knowledgeable about the game. Doesn't automatically mean he's worth a sh!t as GM, but I'd give him an opportunity to prove himself. Neither he nor Haslam were high on Richardson or Weeden.
