Got a ticket driving his 2011 Yukon and blamed it on his custom rims. Shhh. Don't ask, don't tell, bama style.

This is the least believable rumor ever. No way Trent Richardson gets a ticket anywhere near Tuscaloosa.

I thought it was weird When ESPN did that special with nick saban.. They showed players rolling up to practice in very nice cars, most with rims.. Have you seen an average college students car?

The NCAA has looked the other way on cars for years, way too easy to hide, manipulate the paperwork to make it all legal under NCAA rules.

With good reason, it appears.

not really. all he is doint is throwing sh### at a wall and nothing is sticking. Go to any big time program and fball players are driving big time cars.

i hope he catches them red handed as much as the next guy, but right now he is jut crying wolf.

This.

I'm not naive enough to think that the methods for obtaining these rides comply with NCAA regulations. But it is literally happening everywhere, and the NCAA doesn't seem powerless to stop it, they seem to genuinely not care.

It would be too much to clean up and as already stated, the paperwork can be manipulated.

The NCAA would waste a lot of time getting about one in every ten guys.

That is just not true. Donte Stallworth used to drive around in the biggest POS Pontiac I have ever seen. The only player I ever saw driving a nice car was Casey Clausen (tahoe) and that was b/c his parents are loaded

I'm not accusing any particular player or school of anything, but you are turning a blind eye, my friend.

I walked past the football complex every day for 5 years, and never saw anyone driving anything nice. Not Kelly Washington, not Albert, Jamal, Travis Henry etc.

Maybe the Vols players should just put their names and numbers on their $40,000 cars so us Vol fans can keep tabs

This. At a restaurant I use to work at a few UT players would come in occasionally and they always rode up in a Land Rover.

Granted one was Shane Reviez (Loaded parents) and the other was Brent Brewer (Baseball money) but I never actually knew who owned the Rover.

So you've never seen a UT player with a nice ride, but you've somehow seen Dodge Chargers with stock wheels and a goofy paint job going for 40k?
