Just doing what college kids do. Is the excuse when our players get caught, so don't flame them either.

maryjane should be considered a performance enhancer. Seems like most of the dudes getting caught are tremendous athletes and highly skilled on the field

May not be a factor. Haven't seen the line at Vegas change since the report. Vandy still a 7 point dog.

Anyone know how long they are suspended or is it a suspended until further notice or investagation?

Probably so because that's just our luck.

It's a first offense/strike. It was already announced anyways that it's a one game suspension for all three.

Turns out there were two others who were present but not arrested by the campus police who will suspended for a game as well.

...all were freshman and backups at that, though. Not sure why this is really big news (other than that a DGB is somewhat a name a this point)

From espn.com:

Missouri freshman wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham is among five players suspended for Saturday's game against Vanderbilt.

Green-Beckham, along with freshmen wide receiver Levi Copelin and linebacker Torey Boozer, were arrested by campus police after allegedly smoking marijuana near the school's football stadium.

Green-Beckham, Copelin and Boozer will serve a one-game suspension, Missouri spokesman Chad Moller said. Also serving one-game suspensions are freshman defensive linemen Harold Brantley and freshman tight end Brandon Holifield, who were present but not arrested, Moller said.

Green-Beckham was ESPN's overall third-ranked recruit in the nation last year and the top wide receiver prospect.

The players were sitting in a white Lincoln Navigator in a parking lot near Memorial Stadium shortly before midnight when a patrol officer approached and smelled marijuana. Green-Beckham was the driver, Capt. Brian Weimer said.

Each was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana and released with a summons to appear in court next month. Under a 2004 ballot measure approved by city voters, possession of small amounts of pot in Columbia is treated as a low-level offense in municipal court similar to a traffic citation. Violators typically pay a fine of no more than $250 and receive community service in lieu of jail time.

The conviction is dropped if the offender stays out of legal trouble for another year, though repeat offenders and those with felony convictions are exempt. Green-Beckham is Missouri's fourth-leading receiver with seven catches for 128 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown in last week's victory against UCF.

He is listed as a reserve but is often on the field in three- and four-receiver sets. He is the only player among the five to see meaningful action this season for Missouri (3-2, 0-2 Southeastern Conference). But much has been expected of the player known as DGB since he committed to Mizzou after a record-breaking career at Hillcrest High in the southwest Missouri city of Springfield, where he caught 75 touchdowns and compiled a national-record 6,353 receiving yards.

Before the suspension, offensive coordinator Dave Yost acknowledged that Missouri needs to target Green-Beckham more often.

"When you see it in practice all the time, he's so talented," Yost said. "We've just got to give him the ball more. We've got to give him more opportunities."

Before this happened, there is a lot of talk that DGB is transferring at the semester.

Interesting to note that CNN reports that Missou freshman WR DG-B was caught on campus smoking pot near the scholol football stadium this week with several other freshman. They were sitting in DG-B's Lincoln Navigator per the report. Nice to see that freshman at Mizzou can afford $50K-$60K SUVs to drive to school. When I was a freshman at UT, I walked wherever I wanted to go or bummed a ride. Does this seem a bit odd to anyone else?

Did I miss where it said it was a new Navigator? I mean, this isn't Auburn...the Mizzou booster probably had to go to CarMax.

If you are enhancing your performance at the nathans hot dog eating contest. I know it enhances the ability to do absolutely nothing.
