I love NASCAR but I have an incredibly hard time watching a truck race...not sure why...

I guess its because I don't know any of them

You should really try to follow the CTS, it's hands down the best and most exciting series in Nascar, most Cup guys will even tell you that.

Brendan got a screw job at Penske, plain and simple. He comes off cocky but I have meet just about every driver in all three series and I'd honestly say Brendan is about as nice as they come.

Been going to races for the past 5 years and we use to get garage passes back when you can. I also use to run a very popular Ryan Newman fan site and actually through it became pretty decent friends with Ryan and his wife Krissie. Also the girl I'm dating right now works for Simpson helmets in Indy and through her and her work I've meet many Nascar and IRL guys. Below is my list of top 5 nicest and biggest jacka$$es I've meet.

Nicest:

1. Brendan Gaughan
2. Ryan Newman
3. Sterling Marlin
4. Kenny Wallace
5. Kurt Busch (Most would NEVER guess how polite and down to Earth he is)

Top 5 biggest jerks

1. Tony Stewart
2. Mark Martin
3. Jimmy Spencer
4. Johnny Sauter
5. Danica Patrick (Easy on the eyes but a total b%&(^#!)

Ever meet Bobby?

Yeah I've meet Bobby probably 4 or 5 times. The first time was at Atlanta and I thought he was a total jerk but ever since then he's been really cool so the first time must have been on a bad day...lol...The gf said he and Kyle was in the shop about 3 weeks ago getting some stuff for the Victory Junction Camp.

The truck racing is the best in Nascar. I'm going for the Kevin Harvick Inc. trucks, numbers 2 and 33.

Cool. He seems like a pretty nice guy. And the stuff that goes on at VJC is really special.

That was crazy. The announcer was literally about to start talking about what a great job Kvapil had done and a second later he was in 3rd place.

5. Kurt Busch (Most would NEVER guess how polite and down to Earth he is)

really, the guy gets a bad rap these days. i'll be the first to admit that when he came into the series he was a hot shot and probably ran his mouth more than he should have. his altercation with that rambling idiot Jimmy Spencer didn't help, but everybody pretty much realized Spencer is the Shawn Salsbury of NASCAR. he a hell of a race car driver (and is going to make one fine Daytona 500 champion :crossfingers: ).

his snow angel victory celebration is pretty cheesy as well, but i've been pleased with his change in attitude since he won the Cup. he had his slip with the incident with the Phoenix police, i'll give you that too, but i think he more that made up for it when apologized the next day on TV and donated alot of (his own) money for baseball equipment for underprivileged kids in the area, amongst other things with the chief of police.

i've been a huge Penske fan my whole life and i know the guy is a no nonsense car owner and doesn't tolerate anything less than 1st class individuals (Rick Mears, Al Unser Jr. before he became a drunk, Emerson Fittapaldi, Helio, Hornish Jr., Gil Deferan, Newman...).

I gotta say, those guys really go at it, what a fun race to watch, i'll have to make a habit of watching the trucks now that i have Speed Channel....
Another observation is that Allmendinger is going to get someone killed out there if he doesnt learn fast, at least he won't be in the Cup race to muck things up

Allmendinger has got the talent he just needs alot more seat time. I'd put him in as many ARCA races as possiable along with Busch races. Great finish as usual for the truck race, nothing like going from a sure win to finishing third in about 100 feet.

You must not have spent much time with smoke, becuse he is one of the most down to earth, cool as hell to hang out with guys on the circuit. Yes I have met and hung out with them too. I have hung out with them in a personal setting in street clothes, not when they are at work. I was close to Davey Allison and knew Dale Sr. Pretty well too (because of the people I grew up with were best friends with both of them) and both were Aholes as you say when they had a drivers suit on but away from the track you could talk to them for hours about hunting and fishing, but not racing...that was work and we aren't talking about work. Yeah i have been standing next to smoke talking to him and little 6 year olds come up and ask for his autograph and him tell them no. He does not sign autographs in a public setting. He said "If I sign one i will be here for 8 hours signing them. It tears your heart out but you just have to make a stand and stick with it. If it was people wanting them for themselves or their kids, that is one thing. But to spend 8 hours signing them so someone can put them on ebay and rip off me that is different. You have to just have a rule and not do it" 20 minutes later behind closed doors I watched him sign evrything anyone would put in front of him. Some things i can't mention. But have sat in a little diner or waffle house with him for hours just hangin out shootin the breeze.

DON"T BELIEVE EVERYTHING THEY SAY IN THE MEDIA

The media has nothing to do with it. I have meet/been around Stewart about 10 times. Every single time he was a jerk. I'll never forget how he cussed out a kid that was about 10yrs old because he handed him the wrong car to autograph. I idle you since you had the honor to know and hang out with Davey Allison, that is VERY cool.
