Anyone know if we plan on signing a true center this class? I would think that would be a position of need.

Coleman is the C for the next 2 years, Raulerson should be the 2 after that.
Not sure who else has experience or who can move over though...

Yeah, Coleman is the starter, but I think someone said Ray Raulerson is just not good enough iirc (hope I remembered wrong), so just not sure who 2nd string center would be behind Coleman Thomas.

Thomas, Crowder, Robertson, and Weisman would all rotate in to snap before Raulerson.

Well that was the question that was asked. If he was recruited over, then who is the young C that we recruited that is ahead of him?

Robertson, Weisman, Stewart. We won't have a true C unless we sign one in the 2016 class. That's why we cross-train so much.

None of those are a true center. Those people are also not younger than Thomas, except Stewart. I guess he is an option but I don't see him as a C.

I doubt you see this staff recruit a "true C". Any interior OL will learn both C and G. They are always going to get the best 5 on the field.

Didn't they talk about Boulware seeing some snaps at center in early practices?

He probably redshirts this year. Maybe he could be that guy down the line.

I never saw Stewart play center for Coalfield. If memory serves, he was at LT from his sophomore year to his senior year. However, I agree that a true center in this class would be huge.

I've always thought of Coleman as a C, if anywhere else at G. But he has potential to be great at center. Butch will recruit someone like him again

A "true center" is one that can mentally and physically perform at the position...doesn't matter if he did it in HS or not.
