I thought it would be interesting to look at how all the true freshmen have faired in their first outings over the years. Dobbs did well in that comparison considering the quality of the opponent. Also, the fact that he was able to get yards running the ball is not reflected in this QBR calculation. To me, he looks ahead of the curve. Can't wait to see what he does in the last few games!
In order of QBR:
1) Brent Schaeffer vs. UNLV (9/5/2004) Win 42-17
QBR 206.32
7-10-123 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
2) Tyler Bray at Memphis (11/6/2010) Win 50-14
QBR 190.3
19-33-325 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT
3) Casey Clausen vs. Alabama (10/21/2000) Win 20-10
QBR 172.88
17-24-213 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
4) Joshua Dobbs at Mizzou (11/2/2013) Lost 3-31
QBR 100.38
26-42-240 yards, 0 TD, 2TD
5) Peyton Manning vs. Wash State (10/1/1994) Win 10-9
QBR 97.4
7-14-79 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
6) Alan Cockrell vs. Colorado State (9/19/1981) Win 42-0
QBR 80.11
7-14-74 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
7) Erik Ainge vs. Auburn (10/2/2004) Lost 10-34
QBR 76.66
17-35-173 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT
8) Justin Worley vs. South Carolina (10/29/2011) Lost 3-14
QBR 57
10-26-105 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT
I noticed that you credited Dobbs with two touchdowns.....I must have missed that part of the game.
