We have seen Milton play great and we have seen him revert back to Overthrow Joe, what is your thought on his ability to lead a comeback if the Vols get down in Swamp?

At this point, it only matters if Heup trusts him to be Qb1.

I will sit back and wait/overreact if Florduh jumps out early. I'm just not sure who Joe actually is yet. I will state for the record that the WR corp has done him ZERO favors so far and made him look way worse than he actually is. He also has some fault with a few off target passes, but the dropsies have been devastating.

Also, I like pie and actually prefer it to cake in most scenarios. I would have chosen that option in the poll had it been there.

I think some folks are upset that Joe was able to lead us effectively to a win in the Orange bowl and now has us at 2-0 on the season.

You want to be like other teams and bring out that bright and shiny new first year freshman QB .... just because everyone else does.

Can a change of uniform color affect a quarterbacks game? If you are use to throwing to Orange or White, can your speed and depth perception be affected by a new color that you aren't used to?

Remember that in Tee barely completed 50% of his passes through the first for games (and less than that if you take out the Houston game). From the 6th game of the year vs UGA through the NC Game he completed over 60% passes, and they weren't running a dink an dunk offense. Sometimes it just takes a few games for the offense to get in sync.

Its apu. Forgive the team if they were looking past the game a little and apu was playing its bowl game effort wise.

I think you summed it up very well, we just don't know who Joe Actually is yet? We see the enormous athletic potential, but we question the decision making...Florida game will tell a lot I think.

I trust Heupel. I also trust that we have been as vanilla as ever the first two games. Hard for Milton to really show what he has with zone run and/or bubble screen every play.

Receivers need to play faster and think less. As does Joe.

Joe has shown us who he is every time he's gone out there. I'm still hopeful for him because I would love to see him succeed but I'm not extremely optimistic that he will suddenly be able to make great decisions or consistently make good throws.

I think this is a little tough and unfair. IMHO, his decision making has been pretty good. I don't recall him throwing into double coverage or not seeing someone. He is maybe a little slower than he needs to be with his decision making. His accuracy has been off in both 1st quarters and i think the WR corp has 11 (ish) drops total/over 2 games now.

I counted 6 drops against AP and 5 against VA when i rewatched both games. I was also watching the Braves so I could have missed a couple. Counting drops is also subjective, but i think if it hits you in the hands, then you should be able to catch it, even over your head or slightly behind you. To expect every pass to be perfect is asking a bit much imo. TBF, I also expect a drop or two every game, but 11 in two games is a problem.

Even if the WRs were able catch 50% of those drops (ie going 5/11 or 6/11), he's averaging 70+% completion rating and no INTs. He averaged 63% against AP and 70% against VA.

I'm not sure how anyone could expect him to be better than that. Not one Qb in the history of football has had a perfect game with zero incompletions. Even in the NFL, the GOATS throw incomplete passes. A perfect passer rating is 77.7%, plus some other stats.
