I figured I would check the TSA Website to ensure that my cologne bottle was small enough to carry on and I found it interesting that the following are permitted for carry-on baggage:
- Scissors - metal with pointed tips and blades shorter than four inches
- Ice skates
- Tools (seven inches or less in length)
- Screwdrivers (seven inches or less in length)
- Wrenches and pliers (seven inches or less in length)
- Common lighters
- Small compressed gas cartridges
I am pretty sure that if the terrorists initially hijacked the planes on 9/11 with box-cutters one could easily conjure up pretty ingenious ways to hijack planes with these tools.
