Tom Dienhart has his Tennessee preview in the Experts section of TSN.com today. It's very interesting reading.

yep, interesting indeed. though i could see us going 5-2 in the SEC....and losing to Cal, for that 9-3 record.

a lot of maybe's in there though. beat UGA, Bama, and the rest of the teams you are supposed to beat, and maybe life gets better in Knoxville.

It at least sets up for 07 to be a make or break year.

think about it this way. we go 9-3 this season, finish 2nd in the East....what do you think the expectations would be heading in to 07 with most EVERYONE coming back?

i would think that SEC title would be on the brain in 07 big time, and rightfully so if 06 turns out that way.

Don't win it then, fall short then, and i don't think CPF could withstand it.

who knows though. time will tell, and ultimately this problem will resolve itself one way or another. Either we win and he keeps his job, or we lose and we get someone else.

The Link

I think he's been reading up here at the Nation.
But no, actually he's just talking common sense.

He says LSU or Aubie out of the west. I've not made any prognostications regarding the west, but I understand Auburn plays 12 weeks in a row with no off date. That is not a recipe for a divisional championship.

And UGA plays 11 straight before getting a break b4 the ga tech game....LSU plays 8 straight. UM and MSU both play 10 straight, and Vandy also plays 12 straight.

Which means...
[A] That off week Oct. 14 before Bama looks even more special for us.

The battle to stay healthy and at the top of one's depth chart is now more difficult than ever to win.

and

[C] If these guys are gonna play NFL type schedules, then for the love of Mike, pay them something!
Heck, use the money you make on the extra game you guys(ADs) just gave yourselves.

yeah, when i looked at the schedules, and saw that our off week was smack dab in the middle, compared to some others, i was happy...

"Eight- or nine-win seasons are great ... at places like Fayetteville, Ark., Oxford, Miss., and Columbia, S.C. But in Knoxville, Tenn., more is expected -- at least once every three to five years. "

Now there is a quote I can sink my teeth into.

Yeah I tend to agree but some would say Cal is not an important game and are satisfied with 3 or 4 losses. I know we can't go undefeated. Its really not the losses its how we lose.

I seriously doubt that we lose to all 3 of those teams..
yeah, i see us beating UGA for some reason....LSU and UF...would be upsets if we win either one, as it stands right now.

Why not? I have been trying to forget about SC since attending the game last year.

While we are at it, lets change our fight song from Rocky Top to the theme from the Love Boat. :devilsmoke:
