Texas Tech Red Raiders fire Pat Knight as basketball coach - ESPN

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech has fired coach Pat Knight.
Knight will coach the Red Raiders at this week's Big 12 tournament and then will step down, school spokesman Blayne Beal said Monday.
Knight is in his third year as head coach. He took over the program from his famous father, Bob Knight, midseason in February 2008.

New AD at Taco Tech (Kirby Holcutt ofMiami) didn't waste much time running off Gerald Meyers boy. Getting BCG could cost Tech a lot of money as TCU has an eye on him to make the jump to the Big East (D/FW recruits would help). Rumor from around here says AreKansas might be interested in BCG also. Let the bidding begin.

If BCG goes to Arkansas, and we manage to keep Bruce, then we'll start losing to Arkansas most of the time. At least they are in the West. BCG and Kevin O'Neill are Bruce's kryptonite. It just about doesn't matter what players they have.

The USF Sundome is a pit. So the BB arena is not a qualifier. The deal was about FOOBALL.
