it seems that tubby's seat is very hot in lexington. i was hoping they would keep him around for a couple more years and drive the program down further.

Not gonna happen. Last year Tubby used up his last mulligan, promising changes to the program.

A guy I have known for years who lives in Kentucky said Tubby is out and Billy D. will be taking over

It will be hard to "outrecruit" Billy D in Lexington, but he can be outcoached.

Who really knows but he was an assistant there so maybe he wants to go back. Not sure why you would want to leave when you just won a n.c.?

KY BBall is god
UF Bball is 2nd to Football w/ or w/o an NC

No disputing that but he like Pearl if he continues like he is at UT could be the god of b-ball at UF. He will always be in Rupp's shadow at UK and maybe Petinos(sp) too

Petino's move to U of L certainly decreased the size of his shadow tremendously.

I'm sure UGA would LOVE to have ol' Tubby back....if only to beat the $#%$@^ out of him.

Dennis Felton is one of my favorites. I followed him a bit when he was at WKU.

I was a student at Eastern Kentucky when he was the coach.

I used to watch their practices......he is not all that bad.

I've known Travis since well before his 6th year of highschool. I stand by my statement.

No, I don't have a personal dislike for him. As a player, he worked very hard at developing the skills to take a 5'6" kid without great quickness to the starting point guard on a final four team. I actually admire him for that.

I simply don't think he is strong enough to excel at the highest level of college coaching.

EDIT: I grew up in Hopkinsville.

I agree with that, there is no way he would ever be the coach at UK.

He will stick it out at UMASS for a while.

kentucky can run after pearl all they want but he will not be the leader of the bluegrass state. Even if they somehow hired him i think he would be gunned down by a rabid ut fan before he made it to lexington

Yeah, that's a funny little blog. They pay lipservice to Rich Brooks, too, but he's Mr. Irrelevant for the "Fire Coach _____" websites after winning 8 games last year.

Yeah, I don't know how I would feel about Travis coming to coach at UK. Let's see him get a final four or two under his belt first.
