Gov. Kristi Noem DENIES having an Affair with ex-Trump aide Corey Lewandowski and calls allegations published on conservative website 'total garbage'
- Conservative news site American Greatness said it had 'multiple' sources claiming Noem and Lewandowski had been having an affair for months
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem dismissed rumors that she was having an extramarital affair with Trump confidant Corey Lewandowski as 'total garbage' and a 'disgusting lie' rooted in sexism.
Conservative news site American Greatness claimed to have multiple sources with direct knowledge that Noem, a rising star in the
Republican Party, was in the midst of a sexual relationship with Lewandowski.
'These rumors are total garbage and a disgusting lie,' Noem said in a tweet Wednesday afternoon. 'These old, tired attacks on conservative women are based on a falsehood that we can't achieve anything without a man's help. I love Bryon. I'm proud of the God-fearing family we've raised together. Now I'm getting back to work.'
The governor, 49, has been married since the age of 20 to Bryon Noem, with whom she has three kids.
Lewandowski, 48, has been married to Allison Hardy since 2005 and has four kids with her.
American Greatness claimed the affair had been going on for months and that Noem's chief of staff Joshua Shields had resigned due to Lewandowski's butting in.
