Tennessee wrapped up its Tuesday session at Neyland Stadium with a half-hour of scrimmage work as the Vols opened Week 3 of spring drills. The practice was the seventh of 14 scheduled dates leading into the April 17 Orange and White Game.

"We had pretty good work before the scrimmage," head coach Phillip Fulmer said. "During the scrimmage, we gave up too many yards, but our offense again didn't stick it in the end zone so I can't say that either side really won the scrimmage."

Fulmer added he's still looking for improvement along the defensive line.

"We don't have anybody that's making anything big happen on the defensive front. We're playing with technique pretty well but we need somebody that's going to disrupt the offense more than Kevin Burnett."

The Vols practice Thursday and Friday afternoon before staging another Saturday scrimmage. All three of this week's remaining practices are in conjunction with the annual Spring Coaches' Clinic, which begins Thursday.

"We've got a big scrimmage Saturday," Fulmer said. "Hopefully, we'll get some guys back who have been injured, get them out on the field."
